What We Must Do

These are the email and contact addresses of the major Hindu Gurus.

There are two ways in which we can contact them.
One is visiting them personally and explaining them the situation and requesting them to do something urgently.
Now this is not possible for us ordinary people who dont live near these Gurus. So if you are one of those people who have access to these Gurus please convince them the urgency of the situation.
Now the rest of us cannot contact them. What we need to do is to send huge number of emails to these Gurus. If every one of us sends one or two emails. Then each Guru will get 1000-10000 mesages urging them to do something immediately. Also inorder to convince them and explain to them the gravity of the situation we need talented people who can express themself clearly and effectively to design may be slideshows, reports , etc to send to this Gurus.
If we dont send messages in thousands then we may not be able to move this Gurus to the urgency of the situation.

we must send the following message.
The title must be the same by everyone or else they wouldnt know if this is the same message or not. As we would be sending them hundreds of messages. They would know that all these messages are about the same thing only if they all look alike.
“request to swamijis to save hinduism by discouraging wrong ways of celebrating hindu festivals. ”
body
“The innocent masses are immersing harmful plaster of paris idols into water
in the name of hindu religion. you great ones know that this is nt our true religion or way of celebrating Ganesh festival. you and you alone can stop this malpractice. Please swamijis you must all come forward in the media and give a call to the people to stop this practice.
Otherwise this practice will go on for a few more years and even if it stops . it will be at the expense of the reputation of hinduism. So please respond by holding a country wide discussion with all the main swamijis of India and then making a media statement to the people to stop the malpractise and by informing the people onthe correct way of celebrating hindu festivals. dhanyavaad”

A Petition to the gurus

For the last few decades.
The following bad things are happening in Indian society.
1. Immersion of plaster of paris idols of Ganesh and Durga ma into water bodies.
2. Loudspeakers are running at Ganesh platforms in unhealthy numbers.
That too not with devotional songs but sometimes with vulgar songs.
3. The Diwali festival has become a festival of bombs rather than the festival of lights. Each Diwali Indian cities make us feel as if we are in war areas rather than in peace time. This tremendous bomb culture is killing infants and old people in hundreds.
4. Holi festival has become a festival of sexual advances rather than a festival of good culture.

we should care to correct these bad things because.
1. Due to pollution all our water bodies are becoming unfit for consumption.
2. This is giving serious bad name to Hinduism and providing opportunity for foreign religions to criticise, condemn hinduism and convert hindus to their religion.
3. Most importantly because these festivals were formulated by God conscious enlightened individuals who were pure people who wanted good things for all. They went to great lengths of imagination and understanding to formulate these wonderful festivals and we are going fundamentally against their spirit by celebrating these festivals the wrong way.

Now people are continuing to celebrate these festivals the wrong way because no body is pointing them to the wrongs of their ways.
There are so many good Hindu gurus today. None of these gurus has come forward during the last so many years to give a call to the public to stop celebrating the festivals in a hooligan way and start celebrating them the right way.
Only this year we have had some coverage in the main stream media encouraging people to celebrate eco friendly Ganesh festival. It has had a very good response from the common people and a great percent has purchased a mud Ganapati this year.
But is that good enough. Do we have the luxury of waiting for a few more years for the immersion of plaster of paris idols to stop.
No. It is too late. We are already very late in realising the damage that this is doing to the environment and reputation of Hinduism.
We cannot wait even for a single year. This has to stop this year and that is possible only if the Gurus step in and collectively give a call to the public to not immerse the Ganesh idols this year. They alone could assure the people that it would be not blasphemy to not immerse the idol in water. They can even suggest the necessary prayaschitta and method of disposal of the idols.
Now we need to contact the gurus and convince them that this is the most urgent thing to do.
Please join the facebook group and spread the message all over to alert people to determine to stop immersion this very year rather than over several years time.
