Hey, I planned initially to give a talk on the new features I added to SM specifically the input format and displaying of shapes are you covering these as well in your talk?--Nischay Nahata (talk) 19:04, 30 September 2012 (CEST)
I am covering the basic behaviour of Maps and Semantic Maps and the newly introduced functionality since the last EU SMWCon that made it into the 2.0 release. This does not include the work you are currently doing on the map editor form input, nor does it include anything about making the geospatial shapes queryable. Normally I'd just quickly mention there in the "what cool stuff is coming up in future releases" section, but if you want to cover it more broadly, that's perfectly fine for me. As Yury suggested in a new thread here, we could do this as part of the Maps talk already on the schedule. How much time do you think you'd need? I need at least 25 minutes for my talk (including question time), so can only give you 5 minutes. If that's not sufficient maybe the schedule can be modified.
I think demos would be better than talk; I plan to cover annotating different buildings and then displaying all schools in a map as polygons. So, I need around 10-15 minutes. I think its better to get the schedule modified rather than making another talk.
