A Hungarian executive decree issued in 2000 says that the official state flag on public buildings has dimension proportioned as 1:2. The official civil flag is permitted to keep the earlier 2:3 side ratio, or 1:2 optionally. The new ratio has not been adopted widely.

-- Orion 8 (talk) 17:43, 6 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"borders are not to be included". Is this your opinion or you know about some direction for that? I often see this flag on a white background, there are two colored stripes only, not a flag. Look at the flags of Russia and Slovakia. They REALLY would need a light border, which won't be seen if somebody apply an independent border for the flags.

And now read the text above, the initial section of this page. The 2:1 rated flag is defined for use that on public buildings. We, Hungarian editors voted for restoring the 3:2 rated shape, because WE know which flag is to be called as The Flag of Hungary. The Flag of Hungarian People. Have you read the executive decree "132/2000. (VII.14.) Korm. rendelet"? Have yo seen which shape of the flag was borne in our war of freedom, or at the revolution in 1956? A stranger please do not try to be more luminous at this case than we are.

And I am just on arrange our flags in the Commons. You could see: "to be continued". To see the official flag for public buildings seek for "File:Flag of Hungary (state).svg". It is there for anybody who needs that. -- Orion 8 (talk) 12:02, 5 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Answer: "practiced conventions"

Conventions between whom? Would you help me out with some quotes, please? I would really like to cognize the jurisdictional conventions about the insignia of my nation. Orion 8 (talk) 23:28, 6 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You know it doesn't even matter. Pretty soon all these flag images will be "protected" from editing, and we'll have to use new disambiguated file names regardless. ¦ Reisio (talk) 22:57, 7 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
