Proportions
[edit]An editor has requested comment from other editors for this discussion. If you have an opinion regarding this issue, feel free to comment below. |
The flag pictured in the official annex of the law shows the flag with proportion 3:5 but according to the document issued by the premier's bureau concerning the dimensions of the flag, the official proportion is 19:36 (180:95). The length of the triangle must be 84 (using a flag length of 180), the yellow is 5 and fimbriations 6 each. The upper and lower parts have heights of 39 units.

I could not find this premier's document online though. SiBr4 (talk) 20:34, 24 December 2014 (UTC)
- Relating to this discussion, @MapGrid has uploaded a version based on the State Flag and Armorial Bearings Public Declaration of 1980, which is 2:3 (see also the construction sheet here). It appears as if there is a dispute over the correct ratio of the flag, as available information conflicts. If 2:3 is the correct ratio, it should probably be uploaded under this file name. Will also notify others who might be interested in this conversation, such as @Fry1989 and SiBr4, as well as @Denniss, who protected the file page. - @MapGrid Why not try to email the government of Vanuatu regarding the aspect ratio? 98.213.225.105 16:33, 26 March 2023 (UTC)
- @Fry1989 You can try to email the Vanuatu government to see what results you get about the aspect ratio. 24.12.3.153 23:56, 20 June 2023 (UTC)

Licencing
[edit]I don't know why this simple flag description now is not editable. However, I think that to add a more appropriate licencing, the addition of {{PD-ineligible}} would be sensible, according to File:Flag of Vanuatu (official).svg and it's judgement in the flag description. And {{PD-OpenClipart}} (which would mean CC 1.0 additionally) would also make sence, seeing the file's history. --ThomasPusch (talk) 10:59, 27 September 2024 (UTC)
