    Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries Ltd. shared five firm commitments at the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference for Kutch and Saurashtra region on Sunday, laying out the conglomerate's ambitions towards India's clean energy push and overall development. He pledged an investment of Rs 7 lakh crores for Gujarat in the next five years, doubling from the previous investment of Rs 3.5 lakh crores since 2021.

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the summit in the presence of Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Dy CM Harsh Sanghavi and several renowned personalities from industry and politics.

    "In the last five years, we have invested over Rs 3.5 lakh crores. Today, I am pleased to announce that we will double this to Rs 7 lakh crores over the next five years," Ambani said.

    Sharing five firm commitments at the Gujarat regional summit, Ambani said that RIL is building India's largest artificial intelligence-ready data center in Jamnagar, with a single goal of providing affordable AI for every Indian.

    "Jio will launch a people-first intelligence platform built in India for India and the world, enabling every citizen, starting from Gujarat, to access AI services in their own language on their own device every day, making them more efficient and productive," he said.

    With Reliance's clean energy ecosystem in Jamnagar, Ambani aims to make the city India's largest exporter of green energy and material. He also laid out his ambition to transform Kutch into a global clean energy hub.

    Under his social initiative, Ambani said that the Reliance Foundation stands ready to serve PM's vision to bring 2036 Olympics to Ahmedabad. The foundation would contribute to the maintenance of the Veer Savarkar Multisports Complex and train sports players to make them ready for the much-awaited sports event.

    On global uncertainty, Ambani said, "We all know that the world is changing very fast. The geopolitical situation is creating new challenges, including some unexpected turbulence. What is reassuring for India is that these challenges cannot touch or trouble our people,"

    He said let the world know that this is India's defining decade. Under the PM's leadership, India is not just preparing for the future, India is shaping it, he added.

    Gujarat Regional Conference

    Under the Gujarat Regional Conference for Kutch and Saurashtra region, more than 1,500 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) are expected to be signed with over 110 international buyers from 16 countries, including the USA and several from Europe, participating in the event. Over 1,800 business meetings have been scheduled during the Reverse Buyer Seller Meet (RBSM) at VGRC, officials told PTI.

    Leading corporations, such as Torrent Power Limited, KOSOL, Adani Green, Essar Group, Nayara Energy, Jyoti CNC, are participating in the exhibition spread across 26,000 square metres, officials added.

    The event is spread across the 55-acre Marwadi University campus on the Rajkot–Morbi highway, and includes six exhibition domes and a main inauguration hall.
