and, uhmm, i'm stupid. with 75% of the vote counted, Chavez getting 31%, Rosales getting 38%, and Chavez is calling it a victory? clarity please -Edbrown05 08:32, 4 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

  • This is common. It's based on where the votes that have already been counted have come from. If a candidate is trailing or only slightly ahead after all of the votes have been counted in their strongholds, then it's a bad sign. The final outcome, at least in terms of victors, can usually be determined fairly early in the count. PabSungenis 14:15, 6 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
