HGTV is a Canadian English-language discretionary cable and satellite specialty channel owned by Rogers Sports & Media.
From 1997 to 2024, the HGTV brand was used in Canada by a channel launched by Atlantis Communications and most recently operated by Corus Entertainment.
In June 2024, it was announced that Rogers Sports & Media had acquired the Canadian rights to all Warner Bros. Discovery lifestyle and factual brands; as a result, the Corus-owned channel previously known as HGTV rebranded as Home Network on December 30, 2024. The current channel launched two days later.
Programming
The current Canadian iteration of HGTV primarily airs series acquired from its U.S. counterpart, such as Celebrity IOU, hosted by Canadian personalities Drew and Jonathan Scott.[1] It also airs previously-produced Canadian series such as the 2010s series What's for Sale? (originally aired on Cottage Life) and Yukon for Sale.
