If you're curious, the name is one I've used at the Sydney Morning Herald's [1] blogs. I may be (proudly?) 25% Canadian but they were American-born Canadians, so just think of my average as a little farther north of the Mason-Dixon Line than usual.
I had a childhood fascination with airplanes that has sort of persisted, though I'm not an authority on anything but the joy that is travel on economy class airfare.
I work for the US Federal Department of Administration FDA, and I consider myself to have a WP:CoI on those pages. I have made some edits on these topics.
***Disclaimer!*** I do not speak for the agency and any statements or edits I make are simply my own poorly thought out and uninformed opinions. I am a meaningless peon in the agency and anyone taking me as a verifiable or reliable source about FDA policy should have their head examined.
