What is this article referring to?

Is the "way" (dō) referred to in this article the Tao of Taoism? If not, then which "way" is it? Needs to be explained out.

What is the "fo" referred to as the third principle? There is no "fo" sound in normal romanization of Japanese - are you referring to (法、方、など)? Or some Chinese or native Okinawan word?
