Hello all,
Next week we'll be seeing the usual round of deployments, with these
highlights:
* For those that care about version numbers, we'll be starting 1.22wmf1
on Monday. :)
* On Wednesday we'll be deploying Phase II of WikiData to English
Wikipedia; expect big and good things!
For all of the gory details, see:

Hi everyone,
We're planning to deploy Lua to a long list of wikis on Monday,
February 18, 23:00-01:00 UTC (stretching into Tuesday UTC), including
English Wikipedia.
Details here:
http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Lua
Jan Kučera (User:Kozuch) has placed notifications on many of the
wikis. Those notifications and general communications listed here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Kozuch/Lua
This is a really exciting deployment for the projects. We're really
looking forward to seeing the great things that people do with this,
and looking forward to making editing and previewing more responsive
for template-heavy pages.

Date: Mon, 11 Mar 2013 11:42:14 -0700
From: Quim Gil <qgil(a)wikimedia.org>
Organization: Wikimedia Foundation
To: Wikimedia developers <wikitech-l(a)lists.wikimedia.org>
WHAT: Writing a Wikipedia search feature description in plain English
for our automated testing process. Let's feed the Test backlog!
WHEN: We will start with a video streamed demo on Wednesday, March 13,
2013 at 17h UTC [1] and we will be helping volunteers during the rest of
the week. This is an ongoing activity: you can arrive / leave at any time.
WHERE: #wikimedia-dev IRC channel. After joining on IRC, say Hello
browser testers! and we will welcome you with instructions and a simple
task. chrismcmahon, zeljkof and qgil will do their best covering
timezones. You can also use the Discussion page to ask any questions.
WHO: Anybody interested, including you! The only requirement is basic
level of plain English in order to describe the features to be tested
automatically. It is that simple.

Hello!
This is your friendly weekly deployments highlight email.
For the week of March 11th (next week), here are some things to be aware
of:
* Scribunto (Lua) will be available on all wikis as of Wed the 13th
* HTTPS for all logged in users
This is planned to happen next week, but the exact deployment window
is still to be determined. I will inform wikitech-l and -ambassadors
when it is scheduled.
See this bug for more info:

Greg
