  3. Chazard (or Chasard) of the French Air Service bombed the Bosch magneto factory in Stuttgart in October 1916 - see Walters, E. Walter (1917). Heroic Airmen and Their Exploits, p. 186
  4. Wright, a Canadian from Toronto, was killed in a Sopwith Camel near Dunkirk on 23 December 1917. See Walmer Airfield Memorial April 1917- October 1918. Kent War Memorials Transcription. p. 23 and "Walmer Aerodrome Memorial", Hawkshill Freedown Newsletter, Spring 2008, pp 3-4.
