Mavericks' Cooper Flagg: Full stat line in loss
Flagg closed Monday's 125-122 loss to the Trail Blazers with 15 points (6-20 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, eight assists, one block and three steals across 35 minutes.
Flagg didn't have a particularly efficient shooting performance, but his production across the board remains an encouraging development during his first season. Over his last eight games, the rookie No. 1 overall pick has averaged 25.4 points, 6.8 rebounds, 5.8 assists, 1.3 blocks and 0.9 steals in 37.3 minutes per contest.

Mavericks' Max Christie: Gets hot on the road
Christie ended with 25 points (8-12 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds and five assists across 29 minutes during Monday's 125-122 loss to the Trail Blazers.
Christie was only a few points shy of a new career high in a failed comeback effort against Portland. Christie's production fluctuates from night to night, dependent on the availability of other Mavericks. Overall, his playing time has been consistent as Christie averages 28.9 minutes per game this season. It's tough to depend on this kind of performance from Christie, but he's available in more than 95 percent of leagues, so he may be someone to keep on your watch list.

Mavericks' Daniel Gafford: Returns Monday
Gafford (undisclosed) returned to Monday's game against the Trail Blazers with 6:03 remaining in the fourth quarter, per the broadcast.
Gafford briefly exited to the locker room earlier in the quarter but returned to the bench shortly thereafter. He appears to be good to go for the remainder of the game after checking back in.

Mavericks' Daniel Gafford: Walks to locker room
Gafford went to the locker room during the fourth quarter of Monday's game against the Trail Blazers with an undisclosed injury, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
Gafford checked out of the game with 9:08 remaining in the fourth and walked right past the bench and down the tunnel. It's unclear as to what might be ailing him, so he can be considered questionable to return until the team provides an update.

Mavericks' Brandon Williams: Available Monday
Williams (calf) is available for Monday's game against the Trail Blazers, Christian Clark of The Athletic reports.
After missing Saturday's loss to Sacramento due to a left calf contusion, Williams will return to action against Portland. Over his last five outings, the 26-year-old point guard has averaged 12.6 points, 2.8 assists and 2.6 rebounds in 22.4 minutes per game.

Mavericks' Anthony Davis: Won't go Monday
Davis (thigh) won't play Monday against Portland, Christian Clark of The Athletic reports.
Davis attended Monday's morning shootaround but ultimately isn't feeling healthy enough to give it a go. This will mark his second straight absence due to a right thigh injury. Daniel Gafford should be in line for another start at center with Davis sidelined.

Mavericks' Anthony Davis: Spotted at shootaround
Davis (adductor) was present for Monday's morning shootaround, per Mike Curtis of The Dallas Morning News.
Davis' presence perhaps puts him on the right side of the questionable tag for Monday's game against Portland with right adductor soreness. If the star big man is available, Daniel Gafford would almost certainly revert back to the bench.

Mavericks' Brandon Williams: Upgraded to probable
Williams is probable for Monday's game against Portland due to a left calf contusion.
After originally being tabbed as questionable, Williams is now likely to play Monday. Over his last five outings, the guard has averaged 12.6 points, 2.8 assists and 2.6 rebounds in 22.5 minutes per game.

Mavericks' Brandon Williams: Questionable against Portland
Williams (calf) is questionable for Monday's game against the Trail Blazers.
Williams could miss a second straight game due to a left calf injury. If he is unable to go, Ryan Nembhard figures see an expanded role.

Mavericks' Anthony Davis: Questionable for Monday
Davis (adductor) is listed as questionable for Monday's game against Portland.
Davis has already missed one game due to a right adductor injury he sustained Christmas Day, and he's at risk of missing another contest. If Davis can't play Monday, Daniel Gafford would likely draw another start at center, while Dwight Powell could see some burn off the bench.

Mavericks' Moussa Cisse: Rare appearance in loss
Cisse finished Saturday's 113-107 loss to the Kings with two rebounds in six minutes.
Cisse played his first game since Dec. 15, moving into the rotation following a groin injury to Anthony Davis. Although Cisse has been thereabouts thus far this season, he has yet to carve out a consistent role. If and when the Mavericks opt to change things up, keep an eye on Cisse, just in case he shifts into a meaningful role, much like Adem Bona did for the 76ers last season.

Mavericks' Daniel Gafford: Serviceable in start
Gafford notched 11 points (5-7 FG, 1-1 FT), seven rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal in 23 minutes during Saturday's 113-107 loss to Sacramento.
Gafford moved into the starting lineup, replacing Anthony Davis, who was ultimately ruled out due to a groin injury. Gafford was able to log at least 20 minutes for the first time in his past nine games, providing serviceable production on both ends of the floor. Until Davis is given the green light to return, Gafford is worth considering as a short-term addition, even in standard nine-category leagues.

Mavericks' D'Angelo Russell: Back in rotation Saturday
Russell accumulated seven points (3-7 FG, 1-2 3Pt), four assists and one steal over 13 minutes during Saturday's 113-107 loss to the Kings.
Russell was back in the rotation, albeit for just 13 minutes. With Brandon Williams (calf) sidelined, head coach Jason Kidd was forced to dust off Russell, allowing him to step onto the floor for just the fourth time in the past eight games. It's been a disastrous season for Russell, as he is averaging just 10.2 points, 4.0 assists and 1.3 three-pointers in 25 appearances.

Mavericks' Max Christie: Starting Saturday
Christie will start against the Kings on Saturday, Sean Cunningham of Fox 40 Sacramento reports.
The 22-year-old swingman will get the starting nod for the first time since Dec. 5, pushing Naji Marshall to the second unit. In 21 starts so far this season, Christie has averaged 12.1 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 29.2 minutes per contest.

Mavericks' Naji Marshall: Not starting vs. Sacramento
Marshall is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Kings, Sean Cunningham of Fox 40 Sacramento reports.
Marshall will move to the second unit after starting each of the previous 12 games for Dallas, a stretch in which he averaged 16.0 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game. Max Christie will take Marshall's place in the lineup. Marshall is averaging 10.9 points, 4.9 boards and 2.3 assists per game when playing off the bench this season.

Mavericks' Brandon Williams: Not playing vs. Sacramento
Williams (calf) is out for Saturday's game against the Kings.
Williams was initially listed as doubtful for this game before being upgraded to questionable, but he won't be activated. His next chance to suit up will come against the Trail Blazers on Monday. Expect Ryan Nembhard to continue seeing a bump in minutes with Williams out, while D'Angelo Russell could also see action off the bench as Nembhard's backup.

Mavericks' Daniel Gafford: Starting sans Davis
Gafford will start against the Kings on Saturday, Mike Curtis of The Dallas Morning News reports.
With Anthony Davis (adductor) sidelined, Gafford will step back into a starting role. In 13 starts so far this season, the big man has averaged 9.4 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.6 blocks, 1.5 assists and 1.0 steals in 23.0 minutes per tilt.
