Blue Jackets' Denton Mateychuk: Lights lamp in win
Mateychuk scored a goal on two shots and went plus-2 in Monday's 4-1 win over the Senators.
Mateychuk extended his point streak to four games (one goal, four assists). The goal was his first since Dec. 1 versus the Devils. The 21-year-old blueliner continues to grow into a top-four role, and he's seen increased power-play time since Zach Werenski (lower body) exited the lineup. Mateychuk is at seven goals, 17 points, 43 shots on net, 57 blocked shots and 19 hits through 37 appearances in his first full NHL campaign.

Blue Jackets' Boone Jenner: Opens scoring in win
Jenner scored a goal on two shots, added three hits and went plus-2 in Monday's 4-1 win over the Senators.
Jenner was on the third line for this contest, but he continues to see time in all situations. The 32-year-old has three goals and three assists over eight games since he returned from an upper-body injury. The veteran forward is up to 16 points, 54 shots on net, 53 hits, 26 blocked shots, 15 PIM and a minus-3 rating through 24 outings this season, offering decent all-around appeal in fantasy.

Blue Jackets' Kirill Marchenko: Nets another goal Monday
Marchenko scored a goal on five shots in Monday's 4-1 win over the Senators.
Marchenko has four goals and 12 shots over his last three games. The 25-year-old winger is up to 14 goals, 30 points, 104 shots on net, 30 hits, 20 blocked shots and a plus-6 rating over 34 appearances this season. He's a bit behind the pace that saw him generate 31 goals and 74 points over 79 appearances in 2024-25, but he remains a highly productive part of the Blue Jackets' top six.

Blue Jackets' Cole Sillinger: Two-point effort Monday
Sillinger notched two assists in Monday's 4-1 win over the Senators.
Bumped up to center the Blue Jackets' second line between Dmitri Voronkov and Miles Wood with Sean Monahan (undisclosed) a late scratch, Sillinger made an immediate impact by helping to set up the first two goals of the night, including Damon Severson's game-winner early in the second period. Sillinger is putting the finishing touches on a productive December that has seen the 22-year-old deliver two goals and nine points in 13 contests.

Blue Jackets' Charlie Coyle: Two helpers in Monday's win
Coyle picked up two assists in Monday's 4-1 win over the Senators.
The veteran center had a hand in tallies by Boone Jenner in the first period and Denton Mateychuk in the third. Coyle has been surprisingly productive in his first season with Columbus despite his bottom-six role, collecting five goals and 24 points in 38 games -- a pace that would see him reach 50 points for only the third time in his career.

Blue Jackets' Jet Greaves: Shines against Sens
Greaves stopped 27 shots in Monday's 4-1 win over Ottawa.
The Blue Jackets couldn't get out of Columbus until Monday afternoon due to mechanical difficulties with their plane. However, Greaves didn't let the disrupted game-day routine bother him as he won his third straight start. The 24-year-old netminder hasn't allowed more than three goals in any of his nine December outings, and his 2.20 GAA and .923 save percentage on the month aren't reflected in his 4-5-0 record.

Blue Jackets' Brendan Smith: Exits game in final frame
Smith (lower body) didn't finish Monday's game in Ottawa after leaving in the third period without putting weight on his right leg, Aaron Portzline of The Athletic reports.
There was no official update from the Blue Jackets on Smith's status. The 36-year-old defenseman will probably be fully evaluated Tuesday in Columbus ahead of Wednesday's home game versus New Jersey.
