The new autopsy of Elizabeth Ratliff, who died on a staircase years earlier in Germany, is depicted as happening during Michael Peterson's trial--as they review the newly released results, Peterson says to his lawyer, "you went too hard at her, Dave," referring to the cross examination of Dr. Radisch at trial. While this makes for a dramatic moment, in reality, the autopsy happened in April 2003 and Peterson's trial began 2-3 months later in July 2003.
