Full of snappy dialogue, stylish scenery, and captivating stories, "Suits" more than passes the bar when it comes to contemporary, mass appeal, prestige television. After enjoying an impressive but relatively muted nine-season run from 2011 to 2019, the USA series suddenly became one of the most popular TV shows in the 2020s thanks to a bump from Netflix. The renewed interest in it has apparently been so overwhelming that NBC ordered a spin-off from series creator Aaron Korsh.
Korsh's new series -- titled "Suits L.A." -- will feature a new law firm and a brand new cast of characters, led by "Arrow" star Stephen Amell. While fans of the mothership series may not be surprised by this choice, the absence of these beloved actors will surely be felt, especially since it's hard to find many of them in other shows, unless you know where to look.

The comedy genre has been under attack for quite some time now as the studios have stopped making mid-budget comedy movies and refocused all their attention on big-budget blockbusters. Amidst all this, a niche sub-genre in comedy, like raunchy comedy films, has been forgotten. If it’s not a classic like American Pie or Road Trip, people don’t even remember most of the fantastic raunchy comedies that came out. So, we compiled a list of the best underrated raunchy comedies you might have missed out on.

Break out the Post-It Notes because Romy and Michele may be headed towards another reunion. While a sequel to Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion may not have been officially greenlit, star Mira Sorvino (that’s Romy) has hopes that it’s the closest it’s ever been to being ready to go.
Speaking with People, Sorvio said that the Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion sequel isn’t entirely ready but just needs a few more tweaks before cameras are ready to roll. “They’ve done his deal, they’ve done Lisa [Kudrow] and my deals as executive producers. Ellen Pompeo played Meredith Grey for 19 seasons of Grey’s Anatomy before she stepped away from series regular. Pompeo had been the face, or rather, the voice of the show since its pilot episode in 2005. However, in her two decades of working on the show, Pompeo had some issues when it came to some of her character arcs.

Pompeo found Grey’s relationship arcs to be the most problematic, with her listing out issues right from Season 2 to Season 19. Pompeo’s one iconic line in the series comes from Season 2, but the actress absolutely hated filming the scene as she didn’t want to say the line where she had to beg a man.

Drea de Matteo is most famous for playing Adriana La Cerva on The Sopranos, where she was the troubled girlfriend of mobster Christopher Moltisanti, a role that won her an Emmy. She also played Wendy Case, the strong-willed ex-wife of Jax Teller, in the hit show Sons of Anarchy.
Recently, she revealed in an interview that she was offered a role in a Marvel project but decided to turn it down to focus on her family, especially because her son would get upset whenever she had to leave for long filming trips.
The actress shared that she no longer felt attracted to the Hollywood lifestyle or its focus on material things, so she decided to stay closer to home and embrace a simpler way of living.
I was offered some Marvel thing, and I turned that down because my son was crying every time I’d go to Canada to just guest star on something.

The actress explained that she no longer felt drawn to the Hollywood lifestyle or the materialism that sometimes comes with it, choosing instead to stay closer to home and live a simpler life.

Review: There are no better horror franchise documentaries than Crystal Lake Memories and Never Sleep Again. The in-depth looks at the Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th franchises are the definitive looks at their respective franchises. They provide unique interviews and insight into the horror productions we thought we knew everything about. Yet they manage to find new information! So I, like many fans, was ecstatic to see them put Chucky in their crosshairs. Given the series’ very unique history and 36-year run, there is so much information to parse from.

Katherine Heigl was on the rise of popularity when she stepped into the role of Dr. Izzie Stevens in Grey’s Anatomy. This show then further pushed her to international stardom, and she became a household name, all thanks to her brilliant portrayal. But in the midst of all the success, she made headlines but for all the wrong reasons when she criticized the writers of the popular medical drama.
This criticism also did not go well with the showrunner of the show Shonda Rhimes. And in an Oprah interview she made sure to slam the actress in her own way.

The latest quarterly report released Wednesday from FilmLA, Los Angeles’ film permitting office, confirmed the pain production crews have been in this year and signaled that it’s only gotten worse.
Shooting days slipped 5 percent over a three-month period from July to September to 5,048, marking the weakest quarter of 2024, and every category of scripted production lags behind five-year averages on both a per-quarter and year-to-date basis. A bright spot came in the feature film production column, which rose by more than 25 percent last quarter to 476 shooting days. FilmLA stressed that an expansion to California’s film and TV tax credit program is needed to curb the downward trajectory and keep productions in the state. It has been both a rallying cry and source of confusion in the industry for years.

This article contains spoilers for "It's What's Inside."
As fantastical as the concept seems, the first body swap movie dates all the way back to 1916 with the British fantasy flick "Vice Versa," where a young schoolboy magically swaps bodies with his overbearing father. It's based on the even older 1882 novel of the same name and would mark the start of one of the most evergreen cinematic tropes that exists beyond the confines of genre. Body swap movies are most prominent in family-friendly comedy flicks like the "Freaky Friday" franchise or the criminally underrated "Wish Upon a Star" with Danielle Harris and a young Katherine Heigl, or even action films like John Woo's "Face/Off." Science-fiction films usually explore body swapping as some sort of technological advancement, comic books boast plenty of body swap stories (so it's only a matter of time before we see one in live-action), and even horror...

TV’s production cycle just ain’t what it used to be, and creator Jason Katims is feeling nostalgic.
You can’t blame him: When Katims spoke with Variety recently, the topic was the 25th anniversary of his teen drama “Roswell,” which had been intended for Fox but ended up on The CW predecessor The WB.
Katims waxed poetic about the days when May’s TV upfronts actually mattered.
“Back in those days, it was this mad scramble where things could change drastically in a matter of hours,” Katims said. “At the time, I thought this was such an absurd system. Now I long for it, because you knew right then whether your show was going to go ahead, and you had to immediately get into production to get it on the air and put something in those time slots.”
Oh man, remember time slots?

Meg Marinis got hired on Grey’s Anatomy as her first job out of college.
Already a hit for ABC, the medical drama starring Ellen Pompeo as a wide-eyed surgical intern at the fictional Seattle Grace Hospital was in its second season, right in the middle of the Denny Duquette storyline, Marinis recalls (a now-iconic show arc between Katherine Heigl and Jeffrey Dean Morgan).
Marinis, who had already been tuning into the drama weekly on Thursday nights, interviewed to be the second assistant to creator Shonda Rhimes. She didn’t get that job. But they were creating a new position, a writer’s Pa, and she got that one instead. “I freaked out because I really liked the show, but I didn’t have any idea what it would become,” she tells The Hollywood Reporter. “A decade ago, I didn’t think I would still be here!”

The Star Wars franchise has always had an interplay between good and evil, and some of the most interesting stories have explored where heroes interact with a side that is not their natural state. I remember being both disappointed in and intrigued by Princess Leia attempting to assassinate Darth Vader in Alan Dean Foster's Splinter of the Mind's Eye. Dark Empire settled Luke into the role of Palpatine's apprentice, following in his father's footsteps years after Anakin Skywalker died as a Jedi.

Fans of the comedy horror Bodies Bodies Bodies will be disappointed to learn that the movie will leave Netflix on Sept. 19, 2024. But the good news is that a long list of horror comedies is available on the streaming service to fill the void. And don't miss this year's Netflix & Chills lineup.
Bodies Bodies Bodies and other horror comedies are a unique subgenre of horror that mixes slasher elements with absurd comedic ones. Mixing comedy with horror is nothing new, as Edgar Allan Poe and other writers often combined the two in their works.
Bride of Chucky
Bride of Chucky is the fourth installment of the Child's Play franchise, written by creator Don Mancini and directed by Ronny Yu, also known for Freddy vs. Jason (2003). Brad Dourif returns as the voice of Chucky, with Jennifer Tilly portraying Tiffany Valentine, a role she would reprise in several other installments of the franchise.

No matter how much a slow-burn romance makes us want to rip our hair out in anticipation, we cannot deny that we are total suckers for it. When two characters finally realize what they mean to each other and get together, it’s like a weight lifts off our chests. Perhaps the best example of this is Gabriel Macht and Sarah Rafferty’s characters in Suits.

Depictions of cancer on television have not always been the most accurate portrayals in the past.
Luckily, the tides have turned due to writers using experts as reference points to ensure characters diagnosed with cancer have genuine storylines with correct medical details in the fictional cancer narrative.
Not only is it dangerous to spread false narratives, but disseminating valuable information and raising awareness is vital.
(HBO/Netflix Screenshot)
Not all specialists agree that TV portrayals of cancer are as accurate as they need to be in terms of actually living with it instead of using it as a tragic plot.
However, seeing characters diagnosed with cancer who aren’t solely defined by it can be good.
That was almost nonexistent a couple of decades ago, and we want to share those stories of strength!

Sydney was first introduced in Episode 15 of Grey’s second season as a perky fourth-year resident who filled in for Bailey (Chandra Wilson) overseeing the interns while she was on maternity leave. Rocha came back as a recurring the following season, appearing in five episodes,...

Television is a magical place full of drama, laughs, and sometimes, absolute chaos. But the drama doesn’t always stay on the screen.
Sometimes, it spills into real life, especially when the cameras stop rolling, and the actors and writers behind our favorite shows let loose on how they feel. It’s like watching your favorite characters break the fourth wall and air out all the dirty laundry.
Let’s take a fun, irreverent dive into some of the most memorable instances of TV stars who, after the final curtain fell, didn’t hesitate to throw a little shade at the very shows that made them famous.

Being labeled as ‘difficult to work with’ is similar to a career death sentence in Hollywood. These words are often used to describe women who stand up for themselves and set boundaries in the workplace. While many have acknowledged the sexism behind these words, the effect they have on careers is unfortunately still lasting. Katherine Heigl was one such victim, being labeled as a ‘rude’ actress by a few she has worked with in the past.

Grey’s Anatomy has broken many hearts over its 20 seasons (and counting), but it’s also angered fans with how certain characters were written off. Realistically, no one wants to see their favorite character leave a show, but if it’s handled the right way, a good departure allows the legacy of the character to remain untouched.
While there are many factors that go into planning and handling a character’s exit, the final product can be hit or miss. Here are what we consider to be the worst and most unnecessary exits from TV’s longest-running primetime medical drama.
10. April Kepner
While April’s (Sarah Drew) departure in season 14 could be considered a “happy ending” for the character, it was deeply unsatisfying for viewers. She had apparently been dating Matthew (Justin Bruening), who she left at the altar, for months and didn’t tell anyone. That itself is surprising but...

If Hollywood aims to bring older audiences back to theaters by making movies about them, I submit Summer Camp as a case study in what works (Eugene Levy!) and what definitely does not — painfully flat attempts at wackiness being the chief offender. Veering between strained slapstick and thoughtful tête-à-têtes, this boomer-focused reunion comedy strands a game cast of accomplished septuagenarians in a mostly laugh-free zone of zip lines and predictable beats.
Director Castille Landon’s screenplay offers some well-crafted dialogue, but it never adds up to anything resembling momentum. Landon, whose previous features include the Katherine Heigl starrer Fear of Rain and a couple of entries in the After series of romance movies, does get the setting right in a story that brings together three lifelong friends at the sleepaway camp where they first met. The friends are played by Diane Keaton (who also serves as a producer), Kathy Bates and Alfre Woodard.

Is “Grey’s Anatomy” on tonight? Yes. ABC’s long-running medical drama airs its 430th episode, titled “Burn It Down,” on Thursday night. It serves as the highly anticipated Season 20 finale. Note that the new season was delayed until mid-season due to the writers’ and actors’ strikes of 2023. Because of the late start, the 20th season will be the shortest since the first season with only 10 episodes total. Behind the scenes, Meg Marinis has taken over as showrunner from Krista Vernoff, who departed after Season 19.

Grey’s Anatomy star Katherine Heigl was once a rising star in movies and television in the late 2000s. However, her career saw a declining graph after she went on to publicly bash her movie with director Judd Apatow. In 2007, Heigl starred opposite Seth Rogen in Apatow’s comedy film Knocked Up. She had brutal criticism for the film in a 2008 interview, where she called the film sexist.

The film also starred Marvel star Paul Rudd and Apatow’s real-life spouse Leslie Mann. The director responded to the comments sharing that he expected an apology from the actress. Interestingly, Apatow earned flak from Tom Cruise’s fans for brutally trolling him while hosting DGA 2023.
