According to ancestry, she was the daughter of Joseph E Backlin and Hattie Victoria Wagenius. She married one Manfred Mosk and eventually died in California. She held a B.A. (1944) and an M.A. (1962) degree from the University of Minnesota and became Professor Emerita of Theatre in 1962.
