Biography

He was awarded the Laurence Olivier Theatre Award in 2001 (2000 season) for Best Actor in a Musical for his performance in Merrily We Roll Along at the Donmar Warehouse.

He won Best Actor for 'Sunday in the Park with George' at the Laurence Olivier Awards 2007.

Became artistic director of Sheffield Theatres.

Starring on in the Roundabout Theatre Company's production of Sunday in the Park with George, performing at Studio 54 in New York City. He was been nominated for a "Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical" Antoinette Perry Award (Broadway's Tony Award) for his role as George (Seraut)/George in this production.

Graduated from Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 1994.
