James Gunn seemingly reached the nerd mountaintop upon becoming the co-chairman (with Peter Safran) of DC Studios in 2022. Nearly 30 years before that, however, he was just another struggling screenwriter slugging it out in the film industry trenches. Gunn earned his first screenplay credit as the co-writer of Troma Entertainment's "Tromeo and Juliet," which was not the calling-card effort that put him on Hollywood's radar. That would be his script for "The Specials," a superhero comedy that became a film under the direction of Craig Mazin in 2000.
Before that film was even made, though, Gunn found himself pitching projects to the major studios, one of which was a Silver Surfer movie at 20th Century Fox. Gunn knocked out a treatment that he once claimed was a "huge story, cosmic as hell," and he might've hung around to write the screenplay had another project not been dropped on his doorstep.

Look, up in the sky! It's not a bird, it's not a plane, and it's not even Superman. What it is, incredibly enough, might be Warner Bros.' last chance at salvation amid a 2025 slate of risky blockbusters. As the fresh reboot that DC Studios needed to (mostly) wipe everything clean and start over from scratch again, James Gunn's impending "Superman" movie was always going to represent a major gambit to get things off on the right foot. But nobody could've anticipated the perfect storm of factors leading to the dire straits that the entire studio now finds itself in, particularly after a series of box office missteps in recent months. Now, rather fittingly, the future of all of Warner Bros. might very well rest on the shoulders of the Man of Steel. What else is new?

A new report details the high expectations from Warner Bros. Discovery for James Gunn's new Superman movie and the larger DC Universe. 2025 marks the year of the Man of Steel's return to the big screen with Gunn's Superman movie set to arrive this summer. Since Superman will set the foundation for the rest of the Dcu, there are a lot of expectations for how the David Corenswet-starring film will perform across the world.
According to Puck, experts are claiming that Warner Bros. Discovery is extremely dependent on Superman's performance through DC Studios. In a new report from Puck, the word is that the movie "has now taken on almost incalculable importance to Warner Bros. Discovery. If Warners can’t finally make the DC franchise work, there is genuine fear that the studio will go the way of Fox, which was swallowed by Disney in 2019." According to a Warner Bros. veteran,...

Superman is coming out on July 11, 2025. That is a fact that everyone and their grandma knows already. We know that the James Gunn-directed movie is set to kickstart the Dcu properly, and while everyone knows that Gunn’s whole conception will rely on the success of the movie, it seems that the stakes are even higher.
A recent report confirms that the fate of the Dcu lies in the hands of Superman, but it also seems that the fate of the whole studio will depend on the success of this movie. And while Warner Bros. probably won’t disappear if Superman underperforms, it could be a big blow for them.

The upcoming Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is being directed by Craig Gillespie and scripted by Ana Nogueira. It’s based on the comic series of the same name, written by Tom King and illustrated by Bilquis Evely. After her father is murdered and the one responsible is still out there, a young alien girl named Ruthye Marye Knoll seeks out Supergirl to help her on a vicious mission. She wants revenge, and if Supergirl doesn’t help her, she’ll do it herself, whatever the cost.

Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy's stint as Warner Bros. Pictures co-chiefs has been a disaster. Outside of the odd hit like Barbie, the studio continues to release movies that regularly underperform, with Mickey 17 the latest example.
Joker: Folie à Deux was another colossal mistake. With Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav looking to cut costs and make movies on the cheap, Luca and Abdy allowed Todd Phillips to essentially rip them off for $200 million so he could shoot a lavish sequel meant to satisfy his and Joaquin Phoenix's desire for a musical.
According to a new report from Puck, Zaslav - an unpopular figure in Hollywood after he scrapped movies like Batgirl and Coyote vs. Acme mid-production - is considering replacing Luca and Abdy.
One top contender is DC Studios co-ceo Peter Safran, meaning James Gunn would be left as the sole head of that studio.

A new behind-the-scenes snap from James Gunn's Supermanmovie showcases perhaps the most faithful comic-to-film costume I've ever seen. The design shows that Gunn understands what makes the DC Universe so special and, crucially, its big difference to Marvel. That's really important if Gunn's Dcu is going to find its own identity and place in a market ruled by the MCU.
There's a reason that comic fans like me are so thrilled to see that writing on his arm.
In a post shared on X, Gunn wishes happy birthday to Edi Gathegi, who is playing Michael Holt - aka the super-genius Mister Terrific - in the upcoming Superman movie, starring David Corenswet as Clark Kent and Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane.

A new report gets into Joker: Folie à Deux's choice of not having a screen test. Joaquin Phoenix's first time as Batman's greatest villain was a major success, netting the actor a Best Actor Oscar and amassing over $1 billion worldwide. However, the sequel could not follow suit. Joker: Folie à Deux's overwhelmingly negative reviews spelled doom for the DC movie from the start, and by the end of its theatrical run, the film was left with $207.5 million on a $200 million budget, which means it lost the studio quite a lot of money.
According to Puck, a top executive from another studio panned DC/Warner's decision not to have Joker: Folie à Deux screen test, calling it "utter malpractice." Mickey 17's poor screen tests resulted in an alternate cut made by Warner Bros., as a new report has revealed Bong Joon Ho's reaction to the decision. Reviews for Mickey 17have been generally positive, praising Bong's big-budget sci-fi movie and the creative direction for both its story and characters. However, the $118 million movie only made $53.3 million in its opening weekend, a concerning number for a big-budget film that needs to make more in order to break even. While audiences also praise the film, it's not getting as much support as it needs based on its reported budget.
Now, a report from Puck has been released about Warner Bros. studio chiefs Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy's high spending on new projects. It was revealed Mickey 17 scored poorly at test screenings, something Bong didn't pay much attention to due to a similar reaction to his previous film, Parasite, having similar reactions.

Late last year, one of the worst-kept casting secrets in Hollywood was finally confirmed when the news broke that Jason Momoa will suit-up as Lobo in the Dcu after previously playing Aquaman in Warner Bros.' now defunct "Dceu."
The Game of Thrones alum hinted at the announcement on social media, which was quickly followed by the trades confirming the news. As expected, Momoa will make his debut as the Main Man in Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.
Now, to mark the anniversary of the character's first appearance on the page, James Gunn has shared the text message he received from Momoa on the morning it was announced that he was set to run DC Studios along with Peter Safran. It seems they began discussing the possibility of the actor suiting-up as Lobo almost immediately after.

We got a first glimpse of María Gabriela de Faría as The Engineer via set photos when Superman was filming last summer, but director James Gunn has now shared a first official look at the character via a new behind-the-scenes photo.
In the comics, Angela Spica is a heroic member of the super-group known as The Authority, and has a number of powers, including the ability to shape-shift. We're not sure if this first live-action take on the character will have a similar power-set, but we do know that she will be an antagonist to David Corenswet's Man of Steel.
"Happy Anniversary to the Engineer," Gunn captioned his post. "Created by Warren Ellis and Bryan Hitch, who you can see played to sinister perfection by puppy in human form @thefaria in #Superman this July!

Superman director James Gunn took to social media to share a new behind-the-scenes photo of María Gabriela de Faría (Deadly Class) as The Engineer. You can check out the new photo below!
In the caption, Gunn wrote: “Happy Anniversary to the Engineer, created by Warren Ellis and Bryan Hitch, who you can see played to sinister perfection by puppy in human form Gaby de Faria in #Superman this July!“
The behind-the-scenes photo isn’t particularly revealing, but it does give us another look at the Engineer’s costume. The location is the same one we saw in the teaser trailer, in which Superman is battling a different black-suited character. Speaking of that teaser, it became the most viewed and talked about trailer in the history of DC of Warner Bros. when it was viewed over 250 million times in the first 24 hours after its release.

“And Just Like That” star Nicole Ari Parker has landed a recurring role in the HBO’s DC Studios drama series “Lanterns” as John Stewart’s mother Bernadette.
The series follows Hal Jordan (Kyle Chandler) and John Stewart (Aaron Pierre), two members of the Green Lantern Corps, an intergalactic team charged with defending a specific realm of the cosmos from evil through the use of rings that bestow an array of superhuman powers.
The official character description for Bernadette reads, “Formidable and tenacious, Bernadette refuses to give up, no matter how insurmountable the odds. At her core, she’s a fiercely protective mother who has worked her entire life to ensure that she and her family will not be passed over.”

As reactions (good and bad) from supposed test screenings continue to dominate the conversation online, Superman director James Gunn has just shared a new look at the Dcu's Lois Lane (Rachel Brosnahan) and Mr. Terrific (Edi Gathegi).
It doesn't tell us a great deal about what to expect from these characters. However, it appears to be the same scene from the trailer where Terrific was shown protecting Lois from a squad of what looked to be Lex Luthor's green and purple-clad soldiers.
Last December, Gunn said Mr. Terrific is the "main character of those [superhero supporting] characters" and added, "I think it was just who I wanted to really, honestly. I love Mr. Terrific. Though a lot of fans remain a little confused about the decision to give this particular character his own solo project, we are getting a Clayface movie from the director of Speak No Evil, James Watkins, with a script from Mike Flanagan.
James Gunn has confirmed that the film will be set in the Dcu, but it seems the original plan was to introduce the villain in Matt Reeves' BatVerse.
You may recall the trades noting that Clayface would have a "significant role" in The Batman II prior to the solo movie announcement, and Batman on Film's Bill Ramey believes the character was indeed going to be the primary antagonist of Reeves' sequel before the idea for his own Dcu film began to take shape.

The success of DC’s Joker movie (not the sequel) certainly has inspired other similar projects and it seems that James Gunn is hoping that a similar project of his Dceu era will have the same amount of success soon.
The project in question is the solo Clayface movie, which will explore the story of Basil Karlo from a horror perspective. The projects definitely sounds promising, and with a script by horror legend Mike Flanagan, Decu is slowly heading towards a sure hit. James Gunn has become a name synonymous with the superhero genre, and while he's done other projects outside of the comic book movies - both before and since his big break with the first Guardians of the Galaxy flick - you can't deny that superheroes are his bread and butter. He now turns his attention to overseeing DC Studios' new DC Universe, along with Peter Safran, which will look to start a brand new chapter in the storied history of DC Comics characters on the big screen.
With the official start of his DC Universe coming out in July of this year with his Superman film (which Gunn himself directed) and the second season of Peacemaker also arriving at some point this year, let's take a look back at all of the DC projects Gunn has worked on thus far, and see if we can find a way of ranking them from worst to best.

“Mickey 17,” a dystopian sci-fi comedy starring a dozen Robert Pattinsons, was No. 1 at the domestic box office with $19.1 million from 3,807 theaters. But the Warner Bros. film cost $118 million, a staggering price for an original, offbeat space odyssey — and the kind of swing for the fence that could require a few lifetimes to turn a theatrical profit.
Critics and audiences were mixed on the R-rated “Mickey 17,” whose “B” grade on CinemaScore and 79% on Rotten Tomatoes aren’t encouraging for the film’s staying power. It’s a concern because “Mickey 17,” which cost another $80 million to market, needs to earn around $275 million to $300 million globally to get into the black during its big screen run, according to rival executives with knowledge of similar productions.
Internationally, “Mickey 17” brought in $25.4 million from 66 territories. The film opened last weekend in South Korea and has grossed $34.2 million overseas and $53.3 million worldwide in total.

Several actors have been speculated to be top contenders, with Reacher’s Alan Ritchson putting himself in the running.
Ritchson might be a good Batman (although he might not be the best Bruce Wayne) and might just fit into The Brave and the Bold direction Gunn is taking, but there is another superhero role Ritchson would be perfect for and he has already played it. The comic book Superman doesn’t need us to defend him, but Zack Snyder’s version of the character in Man of Steel sure does. Like what was that even? In 2013, as Snyder’s darker, more serious take on the character hit the theatres, fans simply lost their minds over how the movie completely altered the character’s essence.

Well, while some loved the fresh, realistic approach, most fans and comic-book lovers felt it stripped away the heart of what makes Superman so special. Soon, with endless debates originating online, Henry Cavill had to defend his character and Zack Snyder’s vision, arguing that his Superman isn’t brooding—he’s just more grounded in reality. But let’s be honest, Cavill’s explanation won’t really fix Man of Steel’s biggest problems.

Mickey 17 is the first major entry in WB’s auteur-driven 2025 lineup, which comprises releases from James Gunn, Paul Thomas Anderson, Joseph Kosinski, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and Ryan Coogler. Unfortunately, the new Bong Joon-ho release, starring Robert Pattinson, isn’t exactly off to a flyer start, given its sizeable $118 budget.
Mickey 17 | Credit: Warner Bros.
Although the film has opened to a decent critical reception, it’s nowhere close to Joon-ho’s previous release, Parasite, which not only proved to be a critical darling but was also a dominant force at the box office. As for Mickey 17, the slow box-office start could lead to an underwhelming turnaround.
Bong Joon-ho’s Mickey 17 is off to a cold start at the box-office
Apart from a few exceptions, the box office hasn’t been kind to big-budget productions in recent years, and unfortunately, Robert Pattinson‘s Mickey 17 hasn’t been able to avoid a cold beginning.

In Anthony and Joe Russo's 2018 blockbuster "Avengers: Infinity War," Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) and Gamora (Zoe Saldana) share a romantic moment, knowing they are facing a series of difficult confrontations with the genocidal alien warlord Thanos (Josh Brolin). As Star-Lord and Gamora let out their emotions and tenderly kiss, they are interrupted by a crunching noise. Their friend Drax (Dave Bautista) is standing silently in the corner, very slowly snacking on a bag of zargnuts. Startled, Star-Lord asks Drax how long he had been there. Drax says he had been there for a full hour. He also explains that he had been practicing a new stealth technique that rendered him invisible, provided he stands perfectly still.
Drax, of course, had not turned invisible, and had merely assumed he was because his friends failed to notice him. This is in character for Drax, who belongs to an alien species that has no concepts of metaphor,...

The news that Gene Hackman and his wife, Betsy Arakawa, had been found dead sent shockwaves through Hollywood. Hackman had an extraordinary career, winning Academy Awards for his roles in The French Connection and Unforgiven.
Of course, many of you will know him best for playing the villainous Lex Luthor in three Superman movies released between 1978 and 1987. He retired from acting in 2004 after Welcome to Mooseport and wrote several novels, including Justice for None.
The unusual circumstances surrounding Hackman and Arakawa's deaths have raised big questions and we finally have some answers. Heather Jarrell, the chief medical examiner for the New Mexico Office of the Medical Investigator held a press conference yesterday. She confirmed that Hackman died of cardiovascular disease, with Alzheimer's disease as a significant contributing factor.
As for Arakawa, she's believed to have died around a week before her husband from hantavirus, a potentially fatal virus transmitted by mice.

Omni-Man and Homelander might have taken over the cultural zeitgeist when it comes to Superman archetypes gone bad, but comics, in general, have a very rich history of breaking down the Man of Steel into his base parts as a character and then using those parts to assemble critiques and statements about not only the industry but also the nature of power and what the character represents.

Henry Cavill’s version of Superman was perhaps a tad darker than what fans have seen in earlier versions of the character, but it must be noted that it was nowhere close to some of the takes that people have had on their Superman archetype, some of which now Cavill is aware of. Elvis Mitchell of Interview Magazine had an interesting question to pose to Cavill when it came to describing the powers of Superman.

While Robert Pattinson’s side-universe of DC’s famous caped crusader experienced delays, the sequel to his film, The Batman, is finally scheduled to film later this year. All of the waiting has Pattinson joking that he’ll be “old Batman” when cameras finally roll. However, the new Dcu, headed up by James Gunn and Peter Safran, will still need to find a new Bruce Wayne for their in-universe version for Batman: The Brave and the Bold. As always, fans would throw around their casting wishlist and Reacher star Alan Ritchson is a favorite to don the cowl for the new continuity.
Collider reports that Ritchson is still fielding these questions as he promotes his new season of Reacher. According to the site, Ritchson gave an interview with Wired where he was asked again if he would be playing Batman. The hulking star responded,

Reacher star Alan Ritchson was a fairly popular pick to play Batman even before he made a massive impact in the title role in the Prime Video series, but the fan-casts really picked up when DC Studios' co-head James Gunn announced that a new actor will play the Dark Knight in the planned Dcu The Brave and the Bold movie.
For his part, Ritchson has fully leaned in to the campaigns, expressing interest in donning the cape and cowl on a number of occasions.
"The fact that people are interested in me playing Batman is a real honor and privilege," he said in a 2024 interview. "It's one of the first characters I fell in love with as a child: I still remember the big, long pistol coming out of Joker's pants as he goes to shoot down the Batplane. There is no bigger comic book character than Batman. The Caped Crusader is so iconic that he transcends his genre, earning the “super” in “superhero” without even having super-powers. There aren’t many who can do that, and it showcases what a force-to-be-reckoned-with he has become over the years.
First introduced in Detective Comics in 1939, The Dark Knight was introduced as billionaire playboy Bruce Wayne, who became a crime-fighting vigilante known as The Batman by night. From that standpoint, not much has changed for the DC Comics hero, but he has evolved in so many other ways in the near-century since then.
Batman’s enduring appeal has seen him headline countless comic books throughout the decades, but it was his arrival on both the big and small screens that catapulted him into the mainstream. Since then, there have been over 10 Batman movies and countless TV shows (both animated and live-action...

Alan Ritchson wants to play Batman. The 42-year-old actor has already proved he can handle blockbuster action roles through his star turn in Prime Video’s ‘Reacher’ series and has now revealed he is desperate to play the Caped Crusader in a film for DC Studios.During an appearance in Wired’s ‘Autocomplete Interview’ video series, he said: "Would I play Batman? Yes. "Would I pay handsomely to be Batman? You wouldn't even have to pay me to be Batman. "I would, yeah, I would don the suit. [In a Batman voice] ‘Gotham is mine.’ Look at that. It’s official enough that the development of ‘The Batman Part 2’ is turning out to be extremely difficult. The movie was originally announced in April 2022, with Robert Pattinson and director Matt Reeves returning.
Mattson Tomlin joined as co-writer in August. Since then the movie was delayed two times by two years in total. The film was first called The Batman – Part II but lost its title by December 2024 as Reeves kept working on the script, a script that is, going by the official statements, still not done.
Jeffrey Wright, Andy Serkis, and Colin Farrell will return as Gordon, Alfred, and Penguin. Filming is set to start in late 2025 at Warner Bros. Studios in England. The movie is scheduled to release in the U.S. on October 1, 2027.

Warner Bros. Discovery and DC Comics are fighting to dismiss a lawsuit over the foreign rights to Superman. The lawsuit, filed in January by Mark Peary, nephew of Superman co-creator Joe Shuster, aims to overturn the studio’s copyrights in several countries, including the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and Ireland.
If successful, the lawsuit could impact the release of Superman, the upcoming film directed by James Gunn and starring David Corenswet, which is set to hit theaters in July.
On Wednesday, Warner Bros. filed a motion to dismiss the case, arguing that the matter has already been decided in previous legal battles. The studio points to a 1992 agreement in which Shuster’s sister, Jean Peavy, signed over “all” rights to Superman, with no exceptions.
The studio’s attorney, Daniel Petrocelli, stated, “Peary’s complaint fails on every ground,” emphasizing that courts have repeatedly rejected similar claims. Warner Bros. argues that...

Ever since James Gunn was announced as head of the new DC Universe, given the task of rebranding the entire comic book-based world, there have been consistent calls by fans to have Alan Ritchson play Batman. The star of Amazon Prime’s Reacher series, Ritchson has become a favorite of the DC fandom thanks to his physicality. Even Ritchson himself has consistently shown his interest in essaying the superhero, stating time and again that he would be up for the opportunity no matter what.

In January, Warner Bros. found itself at the center of a lawsuit that could potentially block James Gunn’s upcoming Superman movie from being released in foreign territories. Mark Peary, nephew of late Superman co-creator Joe Shuster, filed the lawsuit against Warner Bros. Discovery, DC Studios, and DC Comics, arguing they don’t have the rights to release Superman in many key territories outside the U.S.
As you might expect, Warner Bros. is fighting back. The studio has now filed a motion to dismiss, claiming that courts have already rejected Peary’s claims after his mother, Jean Peavy, signed away all rights after Schuster’s death in 1992. “Peary’s complaint fails on every ground,” said Warner Bros.’ attorney Daniel Petrocelli.

Back in January, we learned that Warner Bros. and director James Gunn's Superman may have run into a (potentially) major roadblock on its journey to the big screen.
Mark Peary, the nephew of the late Superman co-creator Joe Shuster, filed a lawsuit against Warner Bros. Discovery/DC Studios/DC Comics, claiming that the studio lacks the rights to release the Dcu reboot in a handful of key territories, including Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Australia.
The matter has to do with foreign copyrights to the original Superman character and story. Though Siegel and Shuster assigned worldwide rights to DC’s predecessor in 1938, the copyright laws of countries with the British legal tradition contain "provisions automatically terminating such assignments 25 years after an author’s death, vesting in the Shuster Estate the co-author’s undivided copyright interest in such countries."

Warner Bros. Discovery and DC Comics have moved to throw out a lawsuit over the copyrights to “Superman” in foreign territories, arguing the issue has already been exhaustively litigated.

The SnyderVerse. A very controversial topic. It evokes electronically and physically loud voices both for and against its existence even years after it has very clearly ended.
Then, Gunn posted a picture with Snyder to his X account.
Naturally, the internet exploded. What could Zack Snyder and James Gunn possibly be doing together? Are they working on a partnership? Is Snyder directing a new movie? Is the whole SnyderVerse returning? The duo, of course, knew exactly what they were doing. Gunn even said so in an interview with ScreenRant.

It's hard to imagine this now, considering the stranglehold that superhero films and television series have had on Hollywood over the past decade and a half, but in the early 2000s, developing a show about a superhero -- even a top-tier one like Superman -- was not guaranteed to be a slam dunk. It's a testament to the charming, borderline addictive nature of "Smallville" that it not only existed on the fledgling CW network, but thrived there for 10 seasons from 2001 to 2011.
In telling the story of Clark Kent's (Tom Welling) teen and young adult years growing up in Smallville, the frothy superhero drama introduced audiences to a crop of upcoming actors who made their mark both on "Smallville" and beyond. While some are still acting to this day, others have taken interesting career -- and personal life -- turns over the years that may surprise fans of the show. Here's the main cast of "Smallville,...

A live-action series based on The Powerpuff Girls was in development at The CW back in 2020. The show was meant to depict Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup as “disillusioned twentysomethings,” dealing with the consequences of their childhoods spent fighting crime. The show would have shown the girls reuniting when the world needed them most.
The series was being produced by Warner Bros. Television Studios, with Heather Regnier and Diablo Cody writing the script. The pilot was officially ordered in February 2021, with Maggie Kiley set to direct.
The cast included Chloe Bennet as Blossom, Dove Cameron as Bubbles, and Yana Perrault as Buttercup. Donald Faison was cast as Professor Utonium, and Tom Kenny was returning as the narrator from the original cartoon.

Originally scheduled for 2025, The Batman Part II isn’t due until 2027. We look at its delays, and why it could still be relevant in two years’ time.
The shoot of The Batman was beset by disease and tragedy. Just as the UK production on director and co-writer Matt Reeves’ superhero thriller began in January 2020, the pandemic began to sweep across the globe. Reeves and his collaborators battled on through delays, illnesses, and social distancing rules; most sadly, its dialect coach, Andrew Jack, passed away from complications related to Covid that March.
Months later, leading man Robert Pattinson also contracted the virus, prompting another pause in filming. “All we did was shoot a day,” Reeves told Variety a couple of years later, “and Batman got Covid.”
In fact, Reeves became so wary of getting Covid – and causing potentially ruinous delays to the production – that he wore a cobbled-together costume of his own to avoid catching it.

This already sounds optimistic since Superman is expected to be the biggest project yet from the revamped DC Universe. The official teaser trailer generally yielded positive reactions, especially after it moved away from the dark and brooding version of the previous iteration.

Five years after making history with his Oscar triumph for “Parasite,” Bong Joon-ho has returned to Hollywood filmmaking with Warner Bros.’ “Mickey 17,” a star-studded sci-fi satire about how capitalism can create demagogues and cheapen human life.
But despite strong reviews, it faces an uphill battle to turn a profit against its reported $118 million budget. While not an original film — it is an adaptation of the 2022 Edward Ashton novel “Mickey 7” — it’s a film trying to win over adult audiences with a marketing campaign based around its darkly humorous concept and a go-for-broke lead performance by Robert Pattinson.
While not as acclaimed as “Parasite,” reviews for “Mickey 17” have been very positive, currently standing at 88% on Rotten Tomatoes. The film has also earned a $9 million 4-day opening weekend in Bong’s home country of South Korea, the best for a Warner release in six years.
But projections for the film...
