Gaming may be a few decades old, having long ago ridden its light cycle out of the arcade, yet many still seem to think game music consists of bloops and bleeps.
It's an idea as outdated as disco. So it;s fitting that Nile Rodgers -- the legendary producer and Chic member who best connects that era to this one thanks to his Daft Punk collab "Get Lucky" -- is the person most responsible for giving game music a proper hearing in North America.
Back in 1998, three years after the first PlayStation popularized CD technology in gaming -- dramatically increasing game music's complexity by allowing prerecorded streaming rather than just live sequencing -- Rodgers launched Sumthing Else Music and Sumthing Distribution to get game soundtracks off screen and into stores.

The Disney Channel sitcom Good Luck Charlie is breaking new ground with an episode featuring a family with two moms. One of the moms gets along fine with (Good Luck parent) Amy Duncan but the other mom isn’t happy that Bob‘s stories are so boring. The episode will air in 2014 and Disney is working with various experts to make sure its handled well.

In 1970, the British heavy metal band Black Sabbath released a song called Iron Man.
And although it was not inspired in any way by the Marvel Comics armour-clad superhero, it was an obvious choice for the soundtrack of the 2008 movie starring Robert Downey Jr and can be heard over the closing credits.
Taking the connection even further, Downey Jr can now be seen wearing a Black Sabbath T-shirt (see below) in a scene in the new team-up movie Avengers Assemble.
With all those references, it's no surprise that Ultimate Classic Rock has decided to recast Marvel's superhero ensemble with rockers. So who did they pick?
