Steven Tyler doesn’t want to miss a thing, so he’s reuniting Aerosmith for his 6th annual Grammys viewing party.

They’ll be joined by A-listers like Billy Idol, Joan Jett, Joe Perry, Tom Hamilton, Linda Perry, Matt Sorum, Nuno Bettencourt, and Lainey Wilson for the philanthropic event on Sunday, Feb. 2 at the Hollywood Palladium. Tiffany Haddish will serve as host. (See Gold Derby’s Grammy predictions.)

Aerosmith announced its retirement from touring in 2024 after Tyler fractured his larynx the year prior. The company has hired former NBCU unscripted chief Jenny Groom and promoted Ryan O’Dowd and Krystal Whitney.

Groom, who was EVP Entertainment Unscripted Content at NBCUniversal, left the company in 2022 and has been consulting for companies including Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine and Kevin Hart’s Hartbeat Productions.

She now joins the commercial arm of the British public broadcaster as EVP Unscripted Development.

At last, we know who killed Sazz Pataki, and why. Sadly, there’s no time for relief, as yet another body hit the floor by the end of the latest Only Murders in the Building season.

In its final episode, season four concluded with the reveal of Jin Ha’s stunt man turned scribe, Marshall P. Pope, as the finger behind the trigger, and the person responsible for shooting and killing Sazz (Jane Lynch) last season. The motive: stealing Sazz’s screenplay about the Arconia’s starring trio, and passing it off as his own. Produced and released in the aftermath of 2023’s WGA strike, Pope’s role as killer stands in as a commentary on the power of writing and the lengths some will go to silence artistry, while also tipping a cap to industry veterans like stunt workers who often go unrecognized.

The final episode of the Emmy-winning series’ fourth whodunnit, now streaming on Hulu, began with Charles (Steve Martin) and Oliver (Martin Short) wondering why they haven’t heard back from Mabel (Selena Gomez) since texting her that screenwriter Marshall P. Pope (Jin Ha) was Sazz’s (Jane Lynch) protégé. Meanwhile, Oliver is worried that Loretta (Meryl Streep) will be their next victim, and Mabel is stuck in her apartment with none other than the murderer of this season, Marshall P. Pope, whose real name is Rex Bailey.

“Call the police or come anywhere near her door and I’ll kill her,” a text from Mabel’s phone to Charles reads.

After 10 weeks, we’ve reached the conclusion of Only Murders In The Building season 4. This season has taken us to Hollywood and back, but naturally, the finale comes to a close right in the heart of the Arconia.

Last week’s episode ended on a cliffhanger as Mabel was stuck in the Dudenoff apartment with the Omib movie writer Marshall (Jin Ha), who was, in fact, Sazz’s protege and her killer. It was also revealed that Sazz was the true writer of the film’s script and that Marshall, a failed writer and a failed stuntman, stole it in order to fulfil his dream of becoming a Hollywood scribe.

After how episode 9 of Only Murders in the Building ended, we knew we’d be in for quite an eventful season finale, and boy the finale did not disappoint.

To recap, in the penultimate episode, we learned that Sazz’s protege was none other than Marshall, who earlier in the episode killed Glen Stubbins in order to keep him quiet. The final moments also saw Mabel discovering a script for the Only Murders movie which was written by Sazz, hinting that Marshall stole the script and perhaps it factored into his potential motive for killing Sazz. But did Marshall really kill Sazz and what exactly led to her death? Well, the finale answered those questions while also leaving us with a cliffhanger that has us very eager for season 5!

Only Murders in the Building co-creator John Huffman reveals that Kumail Nanjiani, who plays Rudy, originally recited Jack Nicholson's entire monologue from A Few Good Men. The current murder being investigated is Sazz (Jane Lynch), who plays Charles' (Steve Martin) stunt double. In season 4, episode 8, "Lifeboat," the Westies detail their relationship with Milton Dudenoff throughout the years. Rudy recalls the monologue he did for Dudenoff at the bus stop when they first met.

Huffman tells TheWrap that the monologue "was not scripted" for Nanjiani to do "the entire scene," but the comedian had "the entire thing memorized" and "dazzled" everyone on the set with "one take" during filming. This week’s Only Murders In The Building episode begins with Alfred Hitchcock’s lesser known 1944 film Lifeboat. As the voiceover tells us, it’s a film about a group of people coming together to survive, which not-so-subtly hints at this week’s themes.

That voiceover belongs to Professor Milton Dudenoff (Griffin Dunne), who is the main focus of this week’s episode.
