Alex Sutherland(I)

Alex Sutherland entered the film industry straight out of school, rapidly gaining extensive production experience across a wide range of international locations. His foundational training came through hands-on work on the acclaimed television series Sharpe a landmark production consisting of 16 feature-length episodes filmed between 1993 and 2008 where he steadily rose through the ranks from assistant director to line producer.

Drawn by the richness, diversity, and dynamic filmmaking potential of Türkiye, Alex co-founded AZ Celtic Films in Istanbul in 2010. Since then, the company has successfully fulfilled its core mission: attracting high-profile international productions to Türkiye and delivering them to world-class standards.

Alex has produced major global advertising campaigns for leading brands such as Heineken and Nike. With a strong focus on international feature films, AZ Celtic has played a key role in some of the most prestigious productions shot in the region, including Argo (Warner Bros.), The Two Faces of January and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (Working Title), Denmark's Oscar-nominated A War, Ali & Nino (Asif Kapadia), Operation Fortune and The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare (Guy Ritchie), Aftersun, The Amateur (20th Century Studios, starring Rami Malek), and most recently, The Night Agent Season 3.
