Power Rangers lore is set to irrevocably change with the publication of the latest installment in Boom! Studios line of Rangers comics, a one-shot continuing the ongoing "Darkest Hour" event, which will see the villainous version of Kimberly known as the "Ranger Slayer" return to hunt the mysterious Morphin' Masters.

A preview released by Looper gave readers their first look at Power Rangers Unlimited: The Morphin Masters #1, which is described as "really issue #116.5" of Boom! Studio's long-running Power Rangers ongoing series, picking up where that issue dramatically concludes.
