Fred Heatherton
- Soundtrack
Fred Heatherton is actually the name used by the three writers that collaborated on the writing of a single song known as "I've Got a Lovely Bunch of Coconuts." The three writers are, Elton Box (AKA: Harold Elton Box), Desmond Cox and Lewis Ilda. The famous song that these three wrote celebrates the "coconut shy" (coconut toss), a game played at funfairs in the U.K. The chorus is the call of the showman inviting to the public to "roll a bowl a ball at a penny a pitch." The ball is tossed or bowled (as in cricket) at the coconuts with the object of knocking one off its stand. Many musicians have done cover of this song throughout the twentieth century.
