Hey NCIS fans. We've got some more pretty interesting news for the upcoming 16th season of your favorite show. CBS recently put out the very first press release for the season 16 premiere episode 1. The press release gives a brief teaser description of the episode, a title along with some guest stars and main cast credits. It turns out that we're going to see Gibbs taking on a new role this season since Director Vance has been kidnapped. Yep, that's right guys. Gibbs will be the new acting director while Vance is missing in action. We're also going to see the NCIS crew go on a major worldwide search for Vance to kick off this brand new season. There's also going to be a little bit of a timeline jump as the season 16 timeline will be set one month after where the season 15 finale episode ended. CBS' official teaser description tells...

Media Blasters has announced the Video on Demand (VOD) release of the critically acclaimed film My Pure Joy from then 18-year-old writer/director James Cullen Bressack.

The film is now available on all VOD websites as well as Hulu and Xbox among many others.

My Pure Joy stars Alexei Ryan, Cory Jacob, Jd Fairman, Christopher Chandler, and Lisa Frantz.

A Little Bit Zombie Release Date and Viral Video: We’ve been given some details for A Little Bit Zombie, which we’ve covered a number of times on the Indie Spotlight. A Canadian wide release date is set for May 18th (with several special midnight screenings on the 17th). The DVD will be sold in August by Anchor Bay Canada.

There will be Us release details in the new future. The movie will be released to DVD and there are plans for festival and limited theatrical screenings. Leading up to the Canadian release, we’ll be getting a number of viral videos. Reboot: The first trailer the cyberpunk short film Reboot has just been released:

The indie horror film My Pure Joy, written and directed by James Cullen Bressack, has been scooped up for distribution by Media Blasters for their Fresh Meat label. After numerous great reviews – including one from us – the film is joining the ranks of movies by genre veterans such as Frank Hennenlotter, Takashi Miike, and Herschell Gordon Lewis, to name a few.

On the outside Adam appears to be a normal teenager, but underneath…his mind has been so rotted by trauma from his past and the gory films he watches, that he has blurred the lines between reality and pretend! This prompts Adam to start killing people in similar ways to films he watches, making sure to put his own little spin on it.
