- His father is of Swedish and Norwegian descent. His mother has English and some German/Swiss-German ancestry.
- Holm along with fellow "Workaholics" creators Blake Anderson, Adam DeVine and Kyle Newacheck formed the sketch comedy group Mail Order Comedy.
- Graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. While there he was on the swim team. In 2013 he gave the graduation commencement speech, which can be found on Youtube.
- Married his college sweetheart Emma Nesper.
- Is one of three sons. He has two brothers named Erik and Olen.
- Attended the Second City Conservatory in Los Angeles, Ca.
