She won the Cecil B. DeMille award for Achievement In Screen Acting for her short film that she wrote, directed, produced and starred in. She's also a fresh stand up comic who has sold out shows at Flappers Comedy Club in Burbank, Tao Comedy Studio and The Comedy Store in La Jolla.
She holds a double BFA from Chapman University for Film Production and Screen Acting and has studied storytelling under companies such as The Old Globe in San Diego, A Noise Within in Pasadena and The National Theatre School of Ireland in Dublin.
Since February 2023 she has been studying under Yale School of Drama graduate Gregory Berger-Sobeck of Berg Studios, personal acting coach of Oscar winners, Lupita Nyong'o and Riz Ahmed.
Her film studies focused on screenwriting and directing. Her documentary short "Shadows in the Forest '' filmed in Cameroon, Africa addressed how deforestation is destroying the homes of indigenous communities.
At Disney Carly wrote extensive original content for a new Tween property that later became the massively successful Disney Channel movie "Descendants."
Carly is responsible for producing the successful "You Are Not Your Hair" charity event that raised over $2,000. This led to her feature-length documentary entitled "HAIR" that followed her on the journey of discovering cultural identity through hair. The award-winning film was bought by Hulu and ran on their streaming service platform.
Carly founded HER Theatre Company, a boutique Los Angeles based theatre company that is fully female focused and run. The company's mission is to amplify women's authentic voices.
