"Perfect Days" (2023) is an excellent character study drama. Its slowly paced film that centers on a man's daily life in Tokyo. The man does his job, goes about his daily routine and enjoys every minute of. And while on paper this premise sound oversimplistic and, frankly, boring, "Perfect Days" is anything but boring.
More then once i have seen my life in this characters life. Although i live on a another continent and my job is different, but one can quickly relate to a character who is doing same routine every day, and lives simplistic life. Acting by lead actor was amazing, screenplay and directing were very good and music choices were on spot.
Overall, "Perfect Days" is as good as character study movies go. Its a very simple film, on a surface, and its story isn't anything to write home about, but its the storytelling that kept me glued to the screen for its entire run time. Great movie.
