Drive to Survive has weathered several media storms throughout its 6 years on air. The Netflix series has not only put ethical storytelling under a microscope but its questionable pattern of documenting an event has made it completely unreliable. For fans who have been introduced to F1 only through the series, it’s a sad era for the high-adrenaline sport that has so much more to offer than rivalries and drama that’s fake enough to put even the Kardashians to shame.

Unfortunately, however, there seems to be a market for a technical sport presented in the form of reality TV. With a year-long battle for the title of World Champion at stake, Formula One pushes its drivers, engineers, team principals, and even the viewers to a physical and mental extreme. And Drive to Survive taps into that adrenaline and markets it to the waiting audience.

Hulu snuck up on us last week and, without warning, dropped a gem of a gritty period drama that sucked us right into its story of ambition, violence, and desire. Created by Steven Knight, of Peaky Blinders notoriety, A Thousand Blows is a gritty, bloody boxing drama set in mid-1800’s London. But that’s not all. The boxing is just a distraction—albeit a delicious one—from what’s really going on here: a group of outsiders (lower class) first demanding more than society is willing to give them, then downright taking it when they're denied. This is one irresistible, binge-worthy series you should absolutely watch.

Inspired by the true-life stories of a group of characters battling for survival in the brutal East End of London in the 1880s, A Thousand Blows casts a spotlight on a very different gang than those Knight introduced us to in Peaky Blinders.

Brock Lesnar has been one of the most decorated names in combat sports. The Beast Incarnate has been a former WWE Champion, UFC Champion, and NCAA Division One Heavyweight Champion and has been regarded for his raw power, exceptional strength, and dominance in the ring.

Apart from his dominant strength, Brock Lesnar has also displayed in-ring acumen and performances men his size usually cannot do. In his early days, he was able to make moves like the Shooting Star Press, and his speed and athleticism are also remarkable.

The Cage is a thrilling, action-packed series that showcases the world of professional mixed martial arts fighters, shedding light on the training and lifestyle as much as the fights themselves. Though The Cage has gotten mixed reactions from critics and audiences, the fight sequences consistently hold viewers' attention. Marvel is shaking up its upcoming superhero lineup, with a notable change to the Young Avengers project.

Industry insider DanielRPK revealed on his Patreon that the series has been rebranded as Champions.

“People like the authenticity of local stories,” Netflix Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria said.

“When you try to make something that appeals to everyone, you just end up making something that appeals to no one.” It’s why Bajaria encourages her teams to be ambitious and support the vision of creators with the “goal to make shows and films that resonate in their home country first.”

Although she received an invite, former Dancing With the Stars professional dancer Cheryl Burke revealed she won’t appear at the show’s milestone 500th episode.

The 40-year-old appeared in 25 seasons of the dance competition series and won the Mirrorball Trophy in her first two with singer Drew Lachey and former NFL player Emmitt Smith.

Burke worked with other celebrities, including singer Wayne Newton, game show host Drew Carey, and Good Morning America star Sam Champion.

She officially retired from DWTS after the Season 31 finale and previously revealed she sought a promotion on the show, but she and her team knew it wouldn’t ever happen.

UK network ITV has ordered a local version of Banijay’s adventure reality series The Summit and will launch. a local version in 2025. Several days after Kyland Young conquered a mini-final in Episode 12, he and castmate Nurys Mateo shared a new video clip featuring a fabulous fivesome enjoying a run outdoors.

Their ally, castmate, and Nurys’ boyfriend, Horacio Gutierrez, was among the group, running shirtless as viewers have seen him do during MTV’s competition series.

While appearing on Gilbert Arenas’ podcast, Gil’s Arena, he indicated he spent nine hours the other day practicing dances.

Douglas died aged 103 on Thursday, just a few days before the ceremony, and was considered the last surviving link to the golden age of Hollywood studio film-making. His square-jawed machismo was put to good use in early films such as Champion, but he showed unexpected range with the satirical Billy Wilder comedy Ace in the Hole, in which he played a rapacious reporter, and The Bad and the Beautiful, as a backstabbing film producer.

The actor also broke records for longevity, living to the ripe old age of 103. Kirk Douglas died of natural causes on February 5th, 2020, at his home in Los Angeles.

Kirk Douglas will be included in the “in memoriam” section of this year’s Academy Awards. His death on Wednesday at the age of 103 led to an outpouring of tributes across Hollywood.

It also resulted in some last minute edits to the “in memoriam” package, which had been completed, but was edited to include the screen icon. It’s unclear if the Oscars will have any additional tributes to one of the last members of Hollywood’s golden age.

Given Douglas’ stature in the industry, it’s unsurprising that the Academy has modified the “in memoriam” section to include the actor. However, in the past, the organization has faced blowback for failing to include major filmmakers and performers in its list of the departed. In 2019, the Oscars were criticized for ignoring “Singin’ in the Rain” director Stanley Donen, Oscar-nominee Sondra Locke, and Oscar-nominee Carol Channing in the “in memoriam” reel.
