CBS decided to renew a bundle of shows on Thursday. The network dished out early extension deals to all three NCIS shows, as well as Tracker and Fire Country. A franchise that was notably absent from these renewals, however, was FBI. And fans are starting to worry that the franchise's absence means that they could be leaning toward cancelation.

To be clear, the flagship show, FBI, is safe. CBS already dished out a three season extension to the show in 2024, meaning FBI still has two more seasons on its contract. There was no need to issue an extension. FBI: International and FBI: Most Wanted are a different story. Both shows are not renewed through their current seasons. Yet, CBS decided to hold off on bringing them back.

The raving success of Globoplay’s medical drama “Under Pressure” — which ran for five heavily acclaimed seasons between 2017 and 2022 — was bound to see Brazil firmly step into procedurals, and Amazon Prime Video’s “Suture” is proof of just that. The character assured his longtime colleague, Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and his wife, Amanda Rollins (Kelli Giddish), that he was fine by the end of the episode, but it's clear the character is not in a good headspace. Carisi's compromised state, coupled with Rollins' involvement in the fall finale, has fans wondering whether the latter will return to Law & Order: Svu in a larger capacity when the show returns in January.

Koyoharu Gotouge’s Demon Slayer has become one of the most wanted Shonen series of the new generation that has taken the world by storm. The series was first released in 2106 and received an anime adaptation, which has become a massive name in the anime industry as well.

Rollins did appear in a season finale crossover with Law and Order: Organized Crime, which revealed she was pregnant with Carisi's child. Season 25 had Rollins making a return. Mariska Hargitay’s 25 years on “Law and Order: Svu” has impacted her own psyche.

The actress/producer told Selena Gomez for Interview magazine that bringing her character Olivia Benson to life for more than two decades has taken its toll on her personal life. She has played the character for more than 550 episodes of the “Law and Order” spinoff series, which is the longest-running primetime drama series of all-time.

James Earl Jones, the Egot-winning actor known for voicing Darth Vader in the Star Wars franchise for four decades, has died at age 93.

Jones passed away at his home in Dutchess County, New York, on Monday, September 9th, according to the actor’s representatives.

The son of actor and boxer Robert Earl Jones, James Earl Jones was born in Arkabutla, Mississippi on January 17th, 1931. His father left the family shortly after his birth, and Jones was raised by his maternal grandparents in Michigan from the age of five. Jones found the transition to living with his grandparents so traumatic that he developed a stutter and spent his time in school mute. He credited his high school English teacher, Donald Crouch, for helping him with his stutter; Crouch discovered Jones had a talent for poetry, and encouraged him to read his work aloud in class.

Law & Order: Organized Crime season 5 has promoted a major recurring character ahead of the show's move from NBC. The police drama, led by Christopher Meloni as Elliot Stabler, will be making the transition to become a streaming-first series on Peacock. The premiere date for Law & Order: Organized Crime season 5 has yet to be determined, though it has been confirmed that the spinoff will continue to build on an established storyline.

Deadline reports that Dean Norris has been upgraded from a recurring actor to a main cast member for Law & Order: Organized Crime season 5, continuing to play Elliot's older brother Randall Stabler. While we don't know when Law and Order: Organized Crime will make its debut as a Peacock original for its fifth season, news of Mariska Hargitay appearing in episode 2 (the episode Christopher Meloni is writing!) was met with fanfare from viewers as it means Stabler and Benson will finally be reuniting.

Now TVLine reports Hargitay is set to cross over to Law and Order in October. Details on the episode she'll guest star in haven't been released.
