Well, well, well, no one saw that twist coming except for those who’ve read Hugh Howey’s Wool. [Spoiler Alert] In episode 6’s ending, Bernard Holland suddenly made Lukas Kyle his shadow because he was quite eager to understand Salvador Quinn’s coded letter, which his ex-shadow, Judge Mary Meadows, had read but didn’t reveal it to him until her last breath. After Lukas’ numerous failed attempts to decode the letter, Bernard finally realized that Quinn didn’t use a simple Caesar cipher to hide the message. James Gunn Opens Up About How Much Superman Has Setup ( Photo Credit – Flickr )
Originally titled Superman: Legacy, James Gunn gave the Man of Steel’s reboot a last-minute name makeover, and it wasn’t just for kicks.
During a set visit in Cleveland, Gunn spilled the beans strategy, a unique brainstorming session where the crew played movie fortune-tellers, predicting (and dodging) potential pitfalls before cameras rolled. With Dcu’s Chapter One already kicking off with Gunn’s Creature Commandos, this reboot’s sky-high expectations meant every detail was scrutinized. And let’s be real, when James Gunn’s at the helm, even the titles have a story to tell.

Dcu’s Superman is one of the most anticipated movies coming next year. Directed by James Gunn, it stars David Corenswet as Clark Kent/Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor.
This film is expected to restart Superman’s story after the struggles of the previous Dceu and launch the new DC Universe in a big way. With the first teaser trailer just days away, James Gunn has started answering questions about the movie and its progress.
Set leaks have already revealed that several characters will make appearances, including Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner and Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., who first appeared in Creature Commandos.
Some fans worried that the movie might focus too much on introducing other characters instead of telling Superman’s story. However, James Gunn reassured everyone that this isn’t true.

Why Did Harry Potter End Up With Ginny Weasley And Not Hermione Granger? (Photo Credit – Instagram)
Harry Potter’s time at Hogwarts was more than simply learning spells and fighting evil forces—it involved maturing and figuring out how to handle complicated relationships. Hermione Granger has been Harry’s devoted friend since he was 11. She has given him moral support, astute advice, and steadfast loyalty.
Harry feels tremendously grateful for Hermione’s existence because of her bravery and intelligence, which have saved him many times. But when it came to decisions of the heart, Harry finally went with Ginny Weasley rather than Hermione. Physical attraction is the only complex component that led to this decision.

Star Trek fans have been hoping for a Star Trek: Legacy announcement ever since the end of Star Trek: Picard. Legacy, which would've featured Jeri Ryan returnin once again as Seven of Nine, would have followed the son of Jean-Luc Picard; Jack Crusher. Jack would have been played by Ed Speleers once again, the same young man who played the character in Picard.
They would've likely been the featured stars of the show, but other new characters that were introduced in Picard would've likely appeared as well, like the daughters of Geordi La Forge. It would have possibly been helmed by Picard season three showrunner Terry Matalas, and would've picked up right where Picard ended; with Jack Crusher meeting Q.
Fans have been salivating over the prospect of this show for a while now, but the longer time passes, the more likely it is not to happen. It's become so unlikely to happen,...

Almost a year and a half after season three of Star Trek: Picard aired its finale, "The Last Generation," there are some actors such as Jeri Ryan, Michelle Hurd, and Todd Stashwick, and plenty of fans who are not ready to give up on the idea of continuing adventures with the legacy characters and the newer characters that made their debuts on Picard. LeVar Burton is one of those actors.
In an interview with TVLine [via Whatculture] the man behind Commodore Geordi Laforge is still onbard for the series that would follow Captain Seven of Nine [Jeri Ryan], her first officer Raffi Musiker [Michelle Hurd], and Admiral Jean-Luc Picard's [Patrick Stewart] son, Jack Crusher [Ed Speleers].

Fans were mixed on the first two seasons of Star Trek: Picard, but the third season gave them what they wanted from the very beginning. It also laid the groundwork for a potential Star Trek spinoff, which would have followed Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan) as the new captain of the U.S.S. Enterprise G. Showrunner Terry Matalas dubbed the spinoff Star Trek: Legacy, but Paramount didn’t move forward with the concept. However, Ryan told the audience at Spacecon (via TrekMovie) that she had been pitched a different spinoff series, which she ultimately turned down.
“There has been talk. And there was an idea that was actually pitched to me after Picard ended, which was not the Legacy show that I know the fans are asking for, that I want to do,” Ryan explained. “But it just wasn’t me… It didn’t feel like the right kind of thing…...

In the "Star Trek: Picard" series finale "The Last Generation", the villain was exploded and most of the heroes were rescued. Tragically, the cantankerous-but-resolute Captain Liam Shaw (Todd Stashwick) was killed on board his ship, the Titan-a, inspiring a wave of ambivalence from his first officer, Commander Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan). Seven was never respected by Captain Shaw; he felt her Borg implants made her an enemy and he would always deadname her, calling her the name she had before she was assimilated.
After Captain Shaw's death, however. Seven was put in command of the Titan-a on his posthumous recommendation (he left a recording). The ship was re-christened the Enterprise-g and "Picard" ended with a tease of a spinoff series starring Ryan. "Star Trek: Picard" showrunner Terry Matalas made no secrets that he was deliberately using the final episode to tease an additional "Star Trek" spinoff he intended to call "Star Trek: Legacy.

It's not surprising that the subject of Star Trek: Legacy would come up at a convention that includes the stars of the potential series. That happened at Spacecon in San Antonio, TX with a panel that included Star Trek: Picard's Michelle Hurd who played Raffi Musiker on Star Trek: Picared. Excited fans asked yet again for more information about Legacy and if the show would happen. [via Trekmovie]

There's no denying that fans still want a Star Trek: Legacy show. They continue to talk about it whether on social media or in person at conventions like the most recent one at Spacecon in San Antonio, TX. Jeri Ryan [Seven of Nine] was on a Star Trek: Voyager panel with Garrett Wang and Robert Duncan McNeill and was asked a different type of question that wasn't about Legacy. "Has there ever been any talk of a Captain Seven show?" [via Trekmovie] Ryan's response surprised everyone.

It's been a heck of a year for Marvel Studios, as the Marvel Cinematic Universe bounced back from a lacklustre 2023 with a box-office-dominating movie (Deadpool and Wolverine) and two critically-acclaimed live-action Disney Plus shows (Echo and Agatha All Along). Those, coupled with the San Diego Comic-Con announcements in regards to Robert Downey Jr.'s involvement in the next two Avengers movies, has reinvigorated interest in the Multiverse Saga.
The truth is that the saga started really strong with WandaVision but it did lose its way throughout the middle, with too many titles and some questionable ones too. But the MCU has turned things around, and with that, it's starting to bring some of those storylines it kicked off in Phase Four full circle. Whether or not they culminate prior to the end of the Multiverse Saga remains to be seen, but one long-rumored project in particular does seem like it's about to come to fruition.

Let me preface this post by saying we don't know anything about Star Trek: Legacy other than it has not been greenlit. We don't know if it is even still a possibilty. That didn't stop Denise Crosby from bringing the series up at a Tampa Bay Comic Convention [thepopverse.com], and it sounds like she was all for what Terry Matalas had in mind for her.
According to Crosby, she had at least one conversation with Matalas, who was the showrunner for Star Trek: Picard, and Matalas told her he'd "love to do a storyline with Sela." She went on to expound on Matalas' success with the franchise and wondered why he hadn't been given "the keys to the kingdom" since he so clearly knows how to run a Star Trek show.
There's no denying that Matalas made a smashing success out of season three of Star Trek: Picard, and he'd likely...

When you see images of Charlotte Kirk looking like a tough action heroine, you usually expect those images to be from a Neil Marshall film, as the couple has recently collaborated on Duchess, The Lair, and The Reckoning – but yesterday, the folks at Coming Soon unveiled a trio of images that show Kirk as the tough heroine in the upcoming action thriller Myra, and this is not a Neil Marshall movie. Currently in production in Tijuana, Mexico, Myra is coming our way from director R. The images that show Kirk as the title character can now be seen in this article.

Paramount has been cranking out new Star Trek shows like crazy over the past several years, including Discovery, Strange New Worlds, Prodigy and Picard. Just last week, Paramount+ started airing new episodes of Star Trek: Lower Decks, an animated comedy set during The Next Generation era. This is the show's fifth and final season, and according to showrunner Mike McMahan, it's the best one yet.
"Watching any Star Trek, you get a couple seasons in and you’re like, oh, it just clicked," McMahan told StarTrek.com. "They grew the beard. You know what I mean? This is the season where we grow the beard a little bit, and it feels like a nice culmination of everything we’ve been doing so far."

Star Trek: Nemesis was the last original movie in the Star Trek: The Next Generation lineup, and it went out with more of a whimper than a bang. Not too many were happy with the way the film ended things, and the actors didn't know that it was going to be the last film. That was because no one expected the movie to bomb the way it did. And for a long time, that was the last we saw of The Next Generation crew together.
Then Star Trek: Picard's third season invited practically all of the original actors back and even a few guest stars for what felt like The Next Generation's eighth season or final movie. In a recent interview with TVLine {via Trekmovie], LeVar Burton [Geordi Laforge] expressed just how much it meant for everyone to be brought back together and how grateful they were.

Blue Lock was all the rage with its novel take on the sports genre. From its sales to its positive reception, it seemed more than promising. With its second installment, however, things are going downhill. Especially with the series’ drop in quality that had fans calling it a PowerPoint presentation. There is a solid reason for this blunder nonetheless.

The awful animation had several fans expressing their utter disappointment in the franchise. While overpromising and underdelivering isn’t uncommon, 8bit Studio’s failure stands as a testimony to that. However, there’s more to it than meets the eye, especially with the studio’s priorities. This only proves that they won’t be ridding themselves of the PowerPoint stereotype anytime soon.

Apple TV+’s post-apocalyptic science fiction series Silo (read our 8/10 review Here) is based on a series of stories written by author Hugh Howey. It started with a short story called Wool, and at one point the plan was to call the Apple TV+ series Wool as well. There’s plenty of Howey stories to continue pulling inspiration from is Silo has a multiple season run: Holston, Proper Gauge, Casting Off, The Stranded, Legacy, Order, Pact, and Dust... with more to come. We’ll get to see more of this Howey-inspired story play out when Silo season 2 begins airing on November 15th – and with that date just one month away, a trailer for the new episodes has arrived online. You can check it out in the embed above.
Silo follows the last 10,000 people on Earth as they navigate life in their mile-deep underground home protecting them from the toxic outside world.

A planned Bosch spinoff that would have focused on Harry Bosch’s former partner Jerry Edgar is not moving forward at Prime Video.
‘Bosch’ spinoff about J. Edgar not happening at Prime Video
In 2023, Amazon announced that it was developing a Bosch and Bosch: Legacy spinoff series about J. Edgar. Jamie Hector – who played J. Edgar on seven seasons of Bosch – was supposed to reprise his role in the new show, which would follow the LAPD detective as he takes on an undercover FBI operation in Miami’s Little Haiti neighborhood.
“Can’t wait to get to work,” Hector tweeted after the show was announced.
Now, Amazon has scuttled plans for the show, according to a recent report from Deadline. Screenwriter Larry Andries and novelist Michael Connelly, who wrote the books that inspired the Bosch series, were executive producers on the show. It has been 14 years since Tron: Legacy hit theaters. And while we might need a refresher ahead of next year’s Tron: Ares, we should all remember at least one thing: the de-aging effects were suspect at best. Now, de-aging was still relatively new when Tron: Legacy came out in 2010 – and its usage does have some supporters – but Jeff Bridges still looks so phony…and he knows it!
Appearing on the Happy Sad Confused podcast (via THR), Jeff Bridges recalled the de-aging of Tron: Legacy as nothing short of a disaster. “It’s the new thing…I got scanned and in the computer for when we did Tron 2 — What was it called? — Legacy. I wasn’t particularly fond of that recreation of myself. I thought I looked more like Bill Maher than myself.” And yes, he means that as an insult.

Star Trek fans are desperate for a sequel to Star Trek: Picard. There was an idea floated out there by Terry Matalas, who envisioned a new show centered around Seven of Nine and Jack Crusher, the biological son of Jean-Luc Picard. It would feature several other characters like Sidney La Forge and maybe a few other veterans of the Star Trek franchise.
In essence, it would be the first continuation of Star Trek stories since Picard and would remain one of the few shows that actually advanced the plot forward. Most shows, like Discovery, Lower Decks, Prodigy, and Strange New Worlds, all fall in between other established shows in the universe.
Yet, this sequel series, dubbed Sar Trek: Legacy, would be the furthest point in the timeline, aside from the forthcoming Star Trek: Starfleet Academy (and later seasons of Discovery). It would be a fun new idea that many fans are excited about.

The Tron franchise is making a return in 2025 with its third installment, Tron: Ares. Starring Jared Leto, the movie will be a continuation of the series, set several years after Tron: Legacy, the last film in the series that was released in 2010. Jeff Bridges, who played a dual role in the movie, will be making a return in Ares.

Hollywood veteran Jeff Bridges is set to reprise his iconic role as Kevin Flynn in the upcoming Disney sci-fi film Tron: Ares. In a recent interview, the legendary actor reflected on his experiences in the Tron franchise so far. While Bridges enjoyed making 2010’s Tron: Legacy overall, he was less than pleased with how the early digital de-aging technology depicted him in the film.
“I got scanned for Tron: Legacy, but I didn’t like how I looked in the final product,” Bridges told a podcast. According to the actor, the de-aged version of himself in the movie resembled comedian Bill Maher more than his actual appearance. At the time, de-aging an actor through visual effects was cutting edge. But Bridges believes the technology has significantly advanced in the decade since.

As you probably know by now, Cavill portrayed Superman in the ill-fated Dceu. His last appearance was teased in ‘Black Adam,’ the movie that was both a critical failure and a box-office money dump. Cavill appeared in the post-credit scene of the movie, teasing a clash between two powerful characters.
Cavill’s reprisal of the role was ultimately teased as the actor was confirmed to get one more standalone movie, only for the studio to officially bury the Dceu just a few weeks after his announcement that he is returning to the role.
After the release of ‘Black Adam,’ few anticipated its dramatic flop, especially given the post-credits scene teasing Henry Cavill’s Superman. A sequel to ‘Man of Steel’ was in the works, with plans for Black Adam to play a significant role in the Dceu’s future.

It’s been some time since Persona 3 Reload first stopped time in our world. The emotional story took us to great heights and depths as we grew close to a group of friends battling inner demons. Though their mission succeeded, it left a bittersweet taste. Now Aigis returns, seeking closure in Episode Aigis.
This next chapter continues both the character-driven storytelling and grand themes we loved in the journey. Aigis looks to overcome loss just as Sees once did. Yet new mysteries also emerge around the disrupted flow of time itself. The remake crafts an even more compelling experience through polished visuals and acting.
Still, this epilogue faces greater challenges linking its narrative beats into a fully satisfying whole. Where character moments shine, some plot points feel forced. Pacing issues arise from the stripped-back gameplay too. Overall, it takes steps forward but remains an uneven companion to the adventure we’ll not soon forget.

It's been a real "good news, bad news" kind of week to be a fan of Prime Video spin-off series based on bestselling books. Just yesterday, we learned that Amazon's Jack Reacher adaptation Reacher is getting a new offshoot centred around Maria Sten's fan favourite character Frances Neagley (Yay!). Now today brings with it the sad news that the streamer's Bosch continuation, Bosch: Legacy, is being, well, boshed. As reported by Deadline, the Titus Welliver starring series will conclude its run with a third and final season this coming March.
A favourite of fans and critics alike, the original Bosch series — in which Welliver played the titular cop with an anti-authority streak — ran for seven seasons, adapting various plot strands from across author Michael Connelly's 24 source novels. Such was its popularity that, within a year of the main show ending, Legacy had already been commissioned and a first season released.

It’s hard to believe that The Real Housewives of New Jersey is literally on the brink of cancellation, and many of its cast members are still taking jabs at each other.
It seems that Rachel Fuda is one of the few people aware of the genuine possibility of the long-running Bravo hit’s demise, and it could secure her a spot on the cast if the show does return.
As Monsters and Critics previously reported, Joe Gorga performed a comedy set that featured Melissa Gorga, Danielle Cabral, Fuda, and many of the Rhonj husbands on stage.
At the event, Danielle laughed about getting violent with Jennifer Aydin and said that she enjoyed it even better watching the moment back with her friends.
The audience had been making nasty comments about Jennifer, and Melissa followed that up by trashing her rival as the audience cheered.
The only way to describe it is toxic.
