Leanne Morgan’s upcoming Netflix multi-cam comedy series has added five new series regulars, Variety has learned.

Ryan Stiles, Blake Clark, Graham Rogers, Hannah Pilkes, and Celia Weston have all joined the series alongside Morgan and previously announced cast member Kristen Johnston.

The series, now titled “Leanne,” was picked up to series at Netflix in April. Morgan co-created the series with Chuck Lorre and Susan McMartin. It is slated to debut in 2025.

The official logline states, “Leanne’s life takes an unexpected turn when her husband of 33 years leaves her for another woman. Starting over when you’re a grandmother and in menopause isn’t exactly what she had in mind, but with the help of her family she will navigate this new chapter with grace, dignity and jello salad.”

Exclusive: Oscar winner Sissy Spacek (Carrie) and three-time Oscar nominee Nick Nolte (The Thin Red Line) have been tapped for roles in Die, My Love, Lynne Ramsay’s thriller based on the 2017 novel by Ariana Harwicz.

Details as to the duo’s roles are under wraps. The project reunites Spacek and Nolte following their work together on Affliction, the 1997 crime drama written and directed by Paul Schrader. As previously announced, Jennifer Lawerence, Robert Pattinson and Lakeith Stanfield will also star.

Set in a remote forgotten rural area, the story follows a mother (Lawrence) who struggles to maintain her sanity as she battles with psychosis. Pattinson will be playing her husband, and Stanfield, her lover.

Ramsay is directing from her script written with Enda Walsh. Producers on the project include Justine Ciarrocchi and Lawerence on behalf of Excellent Cadaver, as well as Martin Scorsese and Andrea Calderwood. Black Label Media is financing.

Today, we think of Todd Field as one of the best filmmakers around. But back in the late-‘90s/early-‘00s, he was an actor attempting to direct his first film. Of course, eventually he’d get his first filmmaking break with the acclaimed feature, “In the Bedroom,” a film that would go on to not only earn five Oscar nominations but become a relative box office hit. During a recent interview with Cinema Scope, Field discussed the difficulty he feels when making a film, which led him to state that he doesn’t foresee directing another one, although he admitted he could potentially change his mind. Field hadn’t directed a feature film since 2006’s Little Children before last year’s release of Tár, which was nominated for six Oscars; Field, who also wrote and produced Tár, was himself named as a nominee for best picture, director and original screenplay.

The “TÁR” writer-director revealed that it is “highly likely” that the critically acclaimed film will be his last feature. “TÁR” was nominated for six Academy Awards, including lead star Cate Blanchett for Best Actress and Field for Best Original Screenplay and Best Director, as well as Best Picture. Field previously helmed two other films, “In the Bedroom” (2001) and “Little Children” (2006).

Like other films of the current era, the making of Tár was complicated by the Covid-19 pandemic. Field — who had worked in commercials in the intervening years since his last feature — also had to assemble a European crew, since much of the movie was shot in Germany, including Berlin and Dresden. Working in these settings, as well as with a real-life orchestra, brought its own challenges.
