A Tribute to the Likely Lads

I've just been watching an episode of Whatever happened to the likely lads. For some reason, my thoughts turned to this production. It tells you everything you need to know about it, that it has never been repeated.

I have never understood the appeal of these two, and I certainly don't understand why they have won so many awards. I guess our standards have dropped considerably since the golden age of television entertainment.
