For Jennifer Aniston, there were plenty of bad and good parts about breaking up with Brad Pitt back in the day. But since both have moved on since their split, rumors have circulated that they’ve found their way back to each other as friends. However, as platonic as they are, their interactions can occasionally be quite flirtatious if one source is to be believed.

As hurt as Aniston was after her break-up with Pitt, she didn’t want to throw away her bond with the Fight Club star for good. The pair invested too much time with each other for Aniston to end up hating or forgetting about her ex despite their controversy.

The films of Greek director Yorgos Lanthimos aren't for everyone. They're aggressively uncomfortable, poking and prodding the audience with all manner of shocking content and even more shocking ways of presenting it, but there is a lot to love in his deliciously disturbing filmography. Whether he's working from a screenplay he developed with frequent collaborator Efthimis Filippou or one written by "The Great" creator Tony McNamara, Lanthimos manages to inject his films with his unique vision, using characters that seem totally inhuman to force the audience to contemplate their own humanity. This can lead to his films being a little confusing, and that includes his 2017 thriller "The Killing of a Sacred Deer."
"The Killing of a Sacred Deer" stars Colin Farrell as heart surgeon Steven Murphy, who develops a bizarre relationship with 16-year-old Martin Lang (Barry Keoghan), whose father died on Steven's operating table. Martin begins to insert himself into the Murphy family,...

The Odyssey is making its way to the big screen under the directorial charm of Christopher Nolan in 2026. The Ancient Greek epic tells the story of the King of Ithaca, Odysseus, as he makes his way back to his home after the Sacking of Troy. While it seems to be an odd film for Nolan to dive into, especially given his foray into science fiction and World War II period pieces, there is a reason why the Interstellar and Tenet director might be well-equipped to tell the story after all.

The speculation over Christopher Nolan’s next movie has come to an end. Universal revealed Monday that Nolan will adapt The Odyssey, the epic poem from Homer that follows Odysseus’ journey home after the Trojan war.
“Christopher Nolan’s next film ‘The Odyssey’ is a mythic action epic shot across the world using brand new IMAX film technology,” said the studio. “The film brings Homer’s foundational saga to IMAX film screens for the first time and opens in theaters everywhere on July 17, 2026.”
Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, Anne Hathaway and Charlize Theron star in the feature.
Nolan has delved with period pieces before, including best picture winner Oppenheimer, which told the story of the creation of the Atomic Bomb, and The Prestige, an adaptation of Christopher Priest’s novel centering on two rival magicians amid the backdrop of 1890s London.

Exclusive: Here are a couple of exclusive images of Inglourious Basterds star Diane Kruger in buzzy Paramount+ series Little Disasters.
Cannes Award-winning actor Kruger plays Jess in the adaptation of the Sarah Vaughan novel. When she takes her baby daughter to hospital with a head injury that she can’t explain, her close friend and on-duty A&e doctor Liz must make the excruciating decision of whether to call social services on her longtime friend. This decision sets in motion a chain of events that show how one moment can fracture and nearly destroy entire families and friendships. The show also stars Jo Joyner, Patrick Baladi (Ted Lasso), Shelley Conn, Emily Taaffe, JJ Feild, Ben Bailey Smith and Stephen Campbell Moore.

Kruger has had far more movie roles than TV but she did play Detective Sonya Cross in FX’s version of The Bridge last decade. The German actor, who broke out in 2004’s epic war film Troy, was described as an “intelligent and dynamic actress, whose sheer presence brings with it a unique quality that leaves you inspired” by Little Disasters director Eva Sigurdardottir.
“Attaching Diane allowed me to explore sides of Jess’ character in deeper ways than I had anticipated,” she added. “Little Disasters is a story of a warm and loving mother who is hiding a dark secret, and Diane navigated that character so elegantly, with relatable and warm performances, as well as truly haunting and thrilling moments.”
That relatability attracted Sigurdardottir to Little Disasters, she told us, along with a “tension and thriller engine rooted in very relatable and familiar domestic settings.”
“I am a filmmaker who is drawn to brutally real and gritty stories, and here we had a glamorous and aspirational setting, yet with a terrifying central conflict – a hurt child,” she added.
Marianna Abbotts is exec producing for Big Boys producer Roughcut TV, which has recently moved into drama. She said she “fell in love with” Vaughan’s novels after reading Anatomy of a Scandal. “Sarah often writes about professional women who are forced to make impossible decisions. At the heart of Little Disasters is a really difficult moral dilemma when one friend is forced to call social services on another,” she added.
To aid with tackling these sensitive topics, the Roughcut team worked closely with Vaughan along with multiple advisors. “We wanted to portray the issues in the book accurately and it was extremely important to get that right,” said Abbotts. “We consulted medical, police and social service advisers who guided us with accuracy and sensitivity while understanding the need to tell a dramatic story.”
Little Disasters is a six-part series for Paramount+ UK and Ireland. Ruth Fowler and Amanda Duke adapted the series for the screen with Roughcut Television EPs Ash Atalla, Alex Smith and Abbotts on board alongside Vaughan. Simon Judd EPs for Fremantle, Sigurdardottir is the director and Myf Hopkins serves as the producer. The series was commissioned by Sebastian Cardwell and Paul Testar and will premiere next year. Fremantle is handling global sales.

Few stories have been reimagined, relitigated, reframed, and remade as much as those from Greek myth and poetry, and of these, The Odyssey is a usual suspect. From the Coen brothers’ jailbreak flick O Brother, Where Art Thou? to James Joyce’s infamously dense Ulysses, this Homeric epic’s influence has reverberated through the ages.

“Gladiator II” is set in Ancient Rome and North Africa, but where was the Ridley Scott epic actually filmed?

While “Wicked” looks to earn one of the best opening weekends of the year, Paramount is hoping to entertain the masses in its own way with “Gladiator II,” Ridley Scott’s legacyquel to his 2000 Best Picture winner. It marks the return of a type of film once thought to be extinct: the sword-and-sandal epic.
The original “Gladiator” starred Russell Crowe as a Roman general reduced to life as a gladiator as he seeks to avenge his wife and child who were slain at the hands of a corrupt emperor. It was part of a history of ancient civilization films that peaked in the 50s with films like “The Ten Commandments” and “Ben-Hur” but persisted into the 2000s with films like “Alexander,” “Troy,” and “300” before ceding the cultural spotlight to comic books and sci-fi franchises.
Nearly a quarter-century later, the return of “Gladiator” marks the return of sword-and-sandals for the first time in a generation.

On a recent episode of Amy Schumer’s 3 Girls, 1 Keith podcast, Tarantino spilled the beans on how...

‘Gladiator II’, Ridley Scott’s sequel to his 2000 epic historical film, is slated to release on Friday, November 22nd in the U.S. and a week earlier in New Zealand, Australia and the UK.
The Original Movie I rewatched the original movie as part of Bryant Park Movie Nights, an outdoor event in New York City sponsored by Paramount+. At various turns in the movie - Maximus gaining the upper hand in a fight, a popular line being delivered - a crowd of a thousand strangers would cheer and holler. Historical epics are films with the highest of stakes, torture or death to the protagonist or their family. Their storylines are primal and visceral. When an older woman passing through the park asked me what the film was about before the film began, I put some thought into my second answer (my first led to her thinking it was an...

How many times have we written about Mahershala Ali’s upcoming Blade movie? Who knows! In our previous reports, we highlighted the film’s uncertain development and warned that it might end up in developmental hell, despite reassurances from those involved.
Then, it happened. Marvel officially removed Blade from its release schedule, which was originally set for November 2025, and no new release date was given. This means the movie is officially in developmental hell. Fans were hit hard by this news, as it was their biggest fear.
However, not everything is as bleak as it seems. A new rumor suggests that Mahershala Ali recently met with Marvel about the movie. He reportedly agreed with the delay and is still satisfied with how the project is progressing, even if it feels like it’s not moving forward at all.
The rumor was shared on social media, with critic and podcast host...

How many times have we written about Mahershala Ali’s upcoming Blade movie? Who knows. But in our earlier reports, we always stressed the fact that the movie was in a very uncertain development phase and that the likelihood of it ending up in developmental hell was big despite everyone involved trying to convince us otherwise.
And then that happened. Marvel officially removed Blade from its release schedule (it was set for a November 2025 release), and we did not get a new release date, which means that the movie is officially in developmental hell.
This news hit the fans very hard, as the thing they feared the most – happened.

When Community Flipped Classic Sitcom Tropes on Their Heads – A Game-Changing Moment! ( Photo Credit – Prime Video )
Back in the glory days of Thursday night TV, Community wasn’t just a sitcom—it was a deliciously meta-wrecking ball to the whole genre. While The Office, Parks and Recreation, and 30 Rock played the hits, Community dove headfirst into chaotic paintball wars, alternate realities, and a talking ass-crack bandit. Oh yeah, it got weird. And that’s precisely why we loved it.
Dan Harmon, the mad scientist who later cooked up Rick and Morty, was the brains behind this bizarre brilliance. The show kicked off with Joel McHale’s Jeff Winger—Mr. Slick Lawyer Guy was forced back to school because his degree was as fake as a plastic plant. He pulls together a ragtag study group of lovable misfits: washed-up businessman Pierce, social justice warrior Britta, straight-a student Annie, ex-jock Troy,...

It’s no surprise that his fan club is overflowing with admirers, and let’s be honest, the ladies are not alone in their swooning. His allure has even made grown men weak at the knees! British-Irish comedian Jimmy Carr once found himself caught in the throes of admiration, jokingly admitting he couldn’t tear his gaze away from Pitt, even with Angelina Jolie by the latter’s side.

“More effort than it’s worth” possibly represents the harshest 5 words that can be strung together in the English language. For a film, that statement guarantees an immediate death sentence. In the case of Antonio Banderas’ The 13th Warrior, it spelled the extinction of an entire genre: the Muslim hero archetype.

In the film’s critical and commercial failure, Antonia Banderas finds a sense of comfort and familiarity with his daughter Dakota Johnson whose 2024 film, Madame Web went through somewhat of a similar treatment. Both films represent a central character destined for a greater purpose who is uprooted from their established life and thrown into a mission against a foreign enemy.

Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt are easily two of the biggest names in Hollywood. They are, in fact, the personification of the word. You cannot possibly think of Tinseltown and not talk about the two most important residents in it. It is a damn shame that they haven’t starred alongside each other since 1994’s classic, Interview with the Vampire, owing to the reported feud between them.

Fans and media have been speculating about the animosity between Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt since time immemorial. According to the Troy actor, the two of them are like the North Pole and the South Pole. Insiders have also talked about their feud time and again, but it looks like Tom Cruise might not really feel too ill towards his former co-star.

George Clooney has a taunting offer for former President Donald Trump.
After the Wolfs star wrote a headline-making op-ed in July calling for President Joe Biden to drop his 2024 re-election bid, something Biden later did, Trump criticized Clooney in a post on his Truth Social network, saying in part that “fake movie actor” Clooney should “get out of politics and go back to television.”
On Tuesday night’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Clooney responded to Trump’s suggestion.
“I will if he does,” Clooney said. “That’s a trade-off I’d do.”
Kimmel even suggested that Clooney write another essay urging Trump, the current Republican presidential nominee, to drop his bid, since it “worked once. Why not try it again?”
Clooney also poked fun at Trump later when Kimmel pointed out how he often works with his friends on films, like Wolfs, which he stars in with longtime pal and fellow A-lister Brad Pitt.

Fifteen years ago, the single most streets-ahead sitcom in American television history made its NBC debut — if only the movie wasn’t still frustratingly streets behind.
Despite teetering on the edge of collapse and cancellation for most of its original run, Dan Harmon’s meta-comedy masterpiece Community still has one of the most reliable and enduring fanbases of any comedy series on the internet, even nine years after the last episode hit streaming. The success of Minority Report in 2002 was a signifier of the highly profitable creative and business relationship between Tom Cruise, the biggest movie star in Hollywood, and Steven Spielberg, the greatest director the industry has ever known. 3 years later, War of the Worlds proved that theory right when it united the actor-director duo for a live-action adaptation of H.G. Wells’ sci-fi classic.
Unfortunately, the alien invasion movie marked the last time Cruise and Spielberg would ever work together since the actor’s on-air meltdown during the Matt Lauer interview and his couch-jumping proclamation of love on Oprah severed their well-balanced working relationship.

For decades, Jennifer Aniston has graced our screens with her stunning fashion sense and trend-setting hairstyles. However, long after her time on the hit sitcom, Friends, came to an end, the actress proved that she is more than her on-screen personality. In fact, the star had even shared the stage with her ex Brad Pitt, before their unfortunate split back in 2005. The collaboration had left fans gushing, but the actress did not reveal her thoughts on it until years later.

Homer’s The Iliad and The Odyssey are foundational works of Western literature, yet they are seldom adapted for the screen today. The Iliad was last made into a mainstream Hollywood blockbuster in 2004’s “Troy.” But you must go back to 1954 to find an equivalent for The Odyssey in “Ulysses” starring Kirk Douglas. Since then, The Odyssey has had some notable television adaptations: 1968’s Italian production “Odissea” (with Bekim Fehmiu and Irene Papas), 1997’s American production “The Odyssey” and 2013’s French production “Odysseus”.

When he introduced the world premiere of “The Return” at the Toronto Film Festival on Saturday night, director Uberto Pasolini pointed out that nobody has made a film adaptation of Homer’s epic poem “The Odyssey” since 1955, when Italian director Mario Camerini made a version with Kirk Douglas as Odysseus. He skipped over a couple of other versions as well as works by Theo Angelopoulos and the Coen brothers that borrowed elements from Homer’s tale, but the point remains: One of the first great works of Western literature is not marketable IP these days.
But it’s still a hell of a tale, as “The Return” proves. The film leaves out the first two-thirds of the book, the part that includes the cyclops and the Sirens and the six-headed sea monster and lots of meddling by the gods. Instead, it sticks with the final section in which Odysseus returns...

It offers viewers a numbingly bleak vision of the future 51 years from now, illustrated by a fictional framing device starring Samantha Morton, then explains how things got/will get that bad through actual recent archival footage and original interviews with an assortment of thinkers, journalists and activists. By comparison, George Orwell’s classic dystopian novel 1984 looks as jolly as a Peppa Pig picture book.
You can’t help but admire Kapadia’s commitment to feel-bad cinema, his refusal to end on any false note of hope. It’s all part of a deliberate strategy, according to an interview in the film’s press notes, to motivate the audience to do something, anything, to stop all this happening. But given how sinister the forces sowing the seeds of our future destruction are — rising autocracy, unregulated technology and looming climate...

We’ve long been in the midst of a reimagining of Greek myth — these can be conscious of the original setting of the stories of Hesiod and Homer, as is from Emily Wilson’s searing translation of “The Iliad,” as well as the somewhat less faithful raft of novels taking marginalized characters in Greek myth as their protagonists and the platforming perfection of “Hades.” But likewise, the jazz funeral that is “Hadestown,” the apotheosis of fanfic and webcomics that is “Lore Olympus,” and now, several different films and TV shows all play with the Greek gods using bits of our own contemporary context.
The latest entry in the pantheon, Charlie Covell’s “Kaos,” has a surface layer of Gen-z hedonism in its look and style — Zeus (Jeff Goldblum) in a tracksuit, throwing tantrums in a golden palace. But the idea of the Greek Gods as disappointing dads in Hawaiian shirts...

The success and popularity of the One Piece Live Action was unexpected, given the live action curse in the anime industry. It defied expectations, maintaining the top position on Netflix, weeks after its release. Fans got to see many new faces portraying their favorite One Piece characters, especially the actors who played the Strawhats. These actors did a great job at bringing the characters to life without making their performances seem caricature-like.

The success of the live-action must have reflected well on the careers of the cast and their net-worth. After the release of the Netflix series, the actors’ net-worth must have skyrocketed. However, there was one side actor in the One Piece Live Action, whose net-worth was more than both Iñaki Godoy and Emily Rudd combined before the show aired.

Wolfgang Petersen's 2004 peplum film "Troy" told the age-old tale of the Trojan War but with a realistic sheen. In Homer's worn old rendition of "The Iliad," the gods played a major role in the outcome of the war between Troy and the Achaeans, and they regularly appeared on the battlefield alongside the story's many human warriors. The bulk of "The Iliad," as any 10th grader can tell you, focuses on the wrathful Achilles, the greatest Achaean warrior who refused to fight after his lover, Patroclus, was killed. His participation was key, as the war was drawing to a close, and the Achaeans were close to victory. As we all know, they ultimately infiltrated the walls of Troy using a large wooden horse with soldiers hidden inside.
Achilles was said to be invulnerable after his mother, Thetis, dipped him in the waters of the River Styx when he was an infant.

There’s no denying that Brad Pitt got to explore many facets of his film career. He got to be in big blockbusters with movies like Troy, Fight Club and the Ocean’s Eleven franchise. He got to be in more independent, director-driven films with Babel and The Tree of Life. He got to be in movies that satisfied both categories like his Tarantino outings, Inglourious Basterds and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. He even got to be in a Marvel film as a superhero with the blink-and-you’ll-miss-it cameo in Deadpool 2.
Pitt reunites with his Ocean’s co-star George Clooney in the upcoming Jon Watts crime comedy film Wolfs and in a recent GQ interview, he admits he feels like his movie career may be on its “last leg.” According to The Hollywood Reporter, Pitt explained, “I meant that as seasons. You know, there was moving out from the safety of the Ozarks.
