A look at all sides of the Barkleys- good show

From a rather crony start, this evolved into a interesting story that showed all the sides of the Barkley family. We get to see Nick being Nick, Audra getting a red backside, Heath remembering his early life, Jarrod using his education and Victoria being the matriarch of the family. Heck, we even get to see Silas using Nick's emotion against himself. I thought it was an very interesting episode full of insights of all the characters.

When an Irish group of families stake claim to a portion of Barkley's land they produce a deed and bill of sell for the land. However they have been swindled and now Nick wants them off the land and he is prepared to use force. Nick gets in one of his famous fist fights with the leader of the group that produces one of those 'Nick' moments.

Not too much longer Nick and the leader, Jimmy John Callahan, team up together to get the swindler. However, only being in San Francisco for just a few minutes-both end up in jail. With hope fading to find the man who took the Callahan's money things look dark. Hopefully something can be done.

    A very entertaining show.

Average episode - but fun nevertheless

This little offering has the likes of Claude Akins and Eleanor Audley (as his Irish mama) staking claim to land they believe is rightfully theirs - which Audra insists is Barkley territory.

The acting here is cute and corny: Noreen Cochran does a smooth Hibernian lilt, however.

The scene when Claude barges inside the Barkley mansion drunk is a delight. Reason is because Stanwyck magically transforms herself into one of her 1940's movie star personalities and she's actually very funny.

Not a great episode - but like most of them - definitely worth a look-see Enjoy!

Heath Barkley: [Audra storms into the house] Wonder what's wrong with her?

Nick Barkley: I don't know. Hey, Audra? What's wrong with you?

Audra Barkley: You'll find out soon enough!

Heath Barkley: What will we find out soon enough?

Audra Barkley: I can't find the keys to the gun cabinet. Have you seen them?

Nick Barkley: They're right here in my pocket.

Audra Barkley: May I have them, please?

      Nick Barkley: Yeah.

      [Hands over the keys]

      Audra Barkley: Thank you.

Nick Barkley: Heath, I swear if I didn't know better, I'd say that it seems, like maybe, Audra's planning to shoot somebody.

Heath Barkley: Yeah. Who you s'pose she's going to shoot?

      Nick Barkley: No idea.

Heath Barkley: Think it's anybody we know?

Nick Barkley: I think we'd better find out.
