This is a terrific episode in both story and guest star quotient. Leif Erickson as the bitter veteran cop who's gone crooked and is pulling the strings, makes you root for the criminals, who are played by a young Tyne Daly and Anthony Geary.
Erickson's scummy tactics to implicate Pete actually makes you hate him.
Sam Elliott sans moustache appears as Erickson's son and fellow cop.
Peggy looks terrific in this one - and very tan. She is absolutely radiant in many of these Season 5 shows.
We get an atypical final shot, as an angry frustrated Captain Greer punches the door.
One of the best of Season 5.
