    Bilko's Trick To Stay Single

In order for you to get any real entertainment value out of watching this episode from TV's "The Phil Silvers Show" you've gotta be willing to cut it some serious slack.

Anyway - As the story goes - Bilko feels pressure to marry Joan Hogan, so he takes her to Mess Sergeant Sowici's house for dinner, hoping that Sowici's unhappy marriage will help change her mind.

See what happens when Bilko goes into his shtick of deception and conniving.

    • Goofs
Early in the "Dinner at Sowici's" episode (S1, E22), Ernie Bilko's Combat Infantryman Badge (CIB) completely overlaps his top row of ribbons (which is never done), and he is wearing 8 ribbons. Later in the episode, he is not wearing his CIB, and he is wearing 9 ribbons. No real soldier would be so sloppy or inconsistent with his decorations, let alone a master sergeant.
