Love this classic Steven S film. Great with some beers / wine / snacks. Great smash em up film with fun script. Keep them coming Steven. If only there were more Steven films like this that I haven't already watched. It's almost as if the world is running out of arrogant foolish foul-mouthed baddies misguided enough to think they can have a pop at Steven. Come on bad guys - get your stuff together and give it a go. What am I supposed to do on Friday nights when everyone else has gone to bed if you can't be bothered to step up and get your asses kicked by an everyday burned out betrayed cop / Special Ops bloke. Right - will leave it there as reached minimum character count now.
'The Keeper' is about a tough L. A Cop called Roland Sallinger(played by Steven Seagal) who is betrayed by his partner during a stakeout and left for dead, but Roland is still breathing when the ambulance arrives. A year later, he has recovered from his ordeal and has been forced into retirement from the squad. An old friend of Roland's Connor Wells who is an affluent businessman and retired from the force asks and tells Roland who he has faith in if he will look after and protect his daughter Nikita who's dating Mason Silver from danger, criminals etc. He agrees and manages to look after and protect Nikita who feels comfortable having Roland as her bodyguard. One night Nikita is kidnapped after partying with Mason at the club. Mason gets wrongly involved with an evil and dangerous guy called Jason Cross who has his plan to kill Roland with help from his armed men. Roland learns that after the fall of communism in Romania, the gangs have become powerful and dangerous than ever and have targeted Connor and his family He must now help Connor and whilst protecting his daughter try to discover who is behind it all in a very unfamiliar place. This film needed more fight scenes but it definitely had lots of great action, intensity, shootouts and some great fight scenes which definitely made this film be an enjoyable and entertaining film to watch and it definitely was an excellent film.
