In Search of Frankenstein

Filmed at Castle Frankenstein in Darmstadt, Germany. Radu Florescu, author of the book of the same name of which this television special is an adaptation, theorized that the notorious alchemist Konrad Dippel, who was born in the castle, was the historical inspiration for Mary Shelley. Florecsu previously had become famous for making the connection between Vlad the Impaler and Count Dracula.
