Meghan Markle’s lifestyle series, With Love, Meghan, has been renewed for a second season on Netflix.

The announcement comes just days after the show’s initial debut on March 4, where it quickly secured the #7 spot on Netflix’s U.S. Top 10 list. ​

Directed by Michael Steed, the eight-episode series is filmed in Montecito, California, where Meghan resides with her husband, Prince Harry, and their two children, Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3. However, the series is not filmed in their home.

The show marks Meghan’s first solo hosting venture under the couple’s multiyear Netflix deal, reportedly valued at $100 million. ​

In With Love, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex explores various lifestyle topics, including cooking, baking, beekeeping, candle making, and entertaining.

She is joined by both old friends and new acquaintances, such as actress Mindy Kaling, makeup artist Daniel Martin, and chefs Roy Choi and Alice Waters.

Ke Huy Quan‘s leading debut with Love Hurts may not have blazed as hot as his comeback in Everything, Everywhere All at Once, but it’s certainly the type of throwback movie that is rarely seen nowadays. For a second consecutive weekend, Captain America: Brave New World held onto the top spot of the box-office weekend, although this weekend’s lead of $14 million was considerably smaller than last week’s $75.5 million margin.

In its second weekend of release, Captain America: Brave New World brought in $28.2 million for Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, giving the film a cumulative total of $141.2 million. 2024 is over, and while it had some great movies like Dune: Part Two and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, they are nothing compared to what we have coming in 2025. From the first DC Studios film, Superman, to maybe the final Mission: Impossible film in which Tom Cruise will once again put his life in danger to entertain the heck out of us. So, let’s find out which of the movies that are coming in 2025 are the most anticipated.

Companion is an upcoming horror thriller drama film written and directed by Drew Hancock. The upcoming film is set during a weekend getaway that turns extremely bloody and violent when a human companion android malfunctions and begins killing people. Companion stars Sophie Thatcher, Jack Quaid, Lukas Gage, Megan Suri, Harvey Guillen, and Rupert Friend.

Although the same film adorned the top of the box-office weekend top ten for two consecutive weeks prior, a new film stands firmly in the number one spot as Captain America: Brave New World took in $75.5 million more than its closest competition just prior to the Presidents’ Day holiday.

In its first weekend of release, Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures’ latest Marvel release, Captain America: Brave New World easily took control of the box-office weekend top ten by bringing in $88.5 million over the pre-holiday weekend. This was more than adequate to best second-place finisher Paddington in Peru which debuted over the weekend to the tune of $13 million for Sony Pictures Releasing. Meanwhile, last weekend’s second-place film, Heart Eyes, dropped to third where it brough in $10 million for Sony Pictures Releasing, raising its two-week total to $21.5 million. Last weekend’s top film, Dog Man, however, fell three spots to land...

Led by “Captain America: Brave New World” (Disney), the conjunction of Valentine’s Day falling on Friday and the Presidents Day weekend boosted U.S./Canada grosses to by far the best in 2025 so far. With over half ($88.5 million) of the weekend’s box office draw going to the latest Marvel release, theaters took in around $156 million. That’s 50 percent better than any weekend so far this year.

That counts as double relief for theaters. The needed strong total raises year-to-date numbers to 22 percent ahead of last year so far, and it also comes with reaffirmation that Marvel remains vital.

With its B- Cinemascore, the worst for an MCU film, as well as mostly bad reviews, there was real concern the first of three franchise releases in 2025 might fall flat. How it holds remains to be seen, but despite the headwinds it seemed to face, its gross is at or above expectations.

It looks like Captain America: Brave New World is posting our first $100 million opener of the year, even if it comes with a bit of an asterisk next to it. While, yes, Disney can boast that Brave New World has opened to $100 million, the caveat is that the opening is based on the box office results for the entire holiday weekend (tomorrow is President’s Day), and that the three-day opening is a comparatively modest $88.5 million (according to Deadline). That’s pretty close to what we predicted earlier this week and a far cry from the usual $100 million plus weekends Marvel was chalking up in their heyday, which seems to have ended.

Think of it this way – two years ago Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania made $120 million over the same President’s Day weekend, and people called it a flop. Brave New World, with all the reshoots that went into it,...

Warner Bros. has confirmed that a sequel to the beloved 1985 adventure film is in development, with Potsy Ponciroli set to write the script. The project is moving forward nearly 40 years after the original movie first hit theaters.

Steven Spielberg, Kristie Macosko Krieger, and Holly Bario will be producing for Amblin Entertainment, joined by Chris Columbus, who wrote the original screenplay. Lauren Shuler Donner will serve as an executive producer. At this stage, no director has been announced, and plot details remain under wraps.

The original movie, directed by Richard Donner and produced by Spielberg, followed a group of kids who stumbled upon an ancient treasure map and embarked on a wild adventure to uncover the hidden riches.

Starring Sean Astin, Josh Brolin, Corey Feldman, Ke Huy Quan, and Martha Plimpton, the film became an instant hit, grossing $125 million worldwide on a $19 million budget.

Quan would already say that he “would love for it to happen” in regards to a Goonies sequel, but he now tells Collider that the cast is ready to jump on the ship with him. The Everything Everywhere All At Once star explained,

Sony’s new R-rated horror thriller Heart Eyes has landed at the #2 spot in the domestic box office chart as projected. However, the film earned lower than the predicted opening weekend range. The movie opened with positive reviews, carrying a reported production budget of $18 million. Scroll below for the deets.

Its lack of star power and being released on the Super Bowl weekend might be one of the reasons for an underwhelming weekend despite showing promise with its release-day collection. The movie was directed by Josh Ruben, who has directed Scare Me and Werewolves Within. It is a romantic comedy slasher with a B- rating on CinemaScore.

According to Luiz Fernando’s report, Heart Eyes collected only $8.5 million on its three-day opening weekend, whereas it was predicted to earn between $11 million and $14 million. It is 22.7-39.3% less than the expected prediction.

Ending a five-week trend of a new film claiming the top spot of the box-office weekend, Dog Man held onto the number one position for a second consecutive weekend, albeit by only a margin of only $5.2 million.

In its second weekend of release, DreamWorks Distribution’s Dog Man remained in first place with $13.7 million. This was more than enough to best second-place finisher, Heart Eyes, which debuted in second place with $8.5 million for Sony Pictures Releasing. Meanwhile, Universal Pictures saw its Love Hurts debut in third place with $5.8 million over the weekend. Dropping a spot from last weekend, Mufasa: The Lion King landed in fourth place where it took in $3.9 million for Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, bringing its eight-week total to $235.2 million. Despite falling from second to fifth place this weekend, Companion managed to bring in $3.02 million in its second weekend of release to lift its overall total to $15.5 million for Warner Brothers.

After eight weekends on the big screen, Disney’s musical blockbuster has grossed $235 million domestically and $432.9 million internationally to stand as the seventh-biggest release of 2024. Without much in the way of competition, worldwide revenues are nearing $700 million. It’s an encouraging reversal in theatrical fortunes after a soft start ahead of Christmastime, even if those returns are nowhere close to the towering heights of its predecessor, Jon Favreau’s 2019 “The Lion King” remake ($1.66 billion globally). Still, the turnaround is vital for Disney because “Mufasa” was hugely expensive, costing above $200 million to produce and roughly $100 million to promote.
