I thoroughly enjoyed this show and binge watched it within 2 days. Great actors although deducting a point from my review solely because of the actors age. The 15 year olds looked to be the in their early 20s which took you out of the youthfulness of some of the story plots. The other minor issue is that if Jolie was born and grew up in Belgium, why does she not have an accent. Again, just small details. But I really enjoyed the diversity, story telling, and beauty of the backdrops, horses etc. Lovely show, would highly recommend. Looking forward to season 2 although I hated the last 2 mins of the season, definitely would have preferred a more joyful ending. Lovely show though would highly recommend.
This thing makes the 2020 Disney version feel like the 1994 one. Why the hell do they keep turning Anna Sewell's masterpiece into a generic horse girl story?! Is it that difficult to make a faithful adaptation of the book? Like, okay, they don't need to do a total copy and paste of the book, but at least keep the main concept (a black horse being sold and bought by many people, some of them good but most of them bad). And also, why do the most recent adaptations have the bad habit of making Beauty a mare instead of a stallion like in the book? If they wanted to make a movie about a girl and a mare they should have adapted Flicka instead of Black Beauty.
I usually don't go for remakes or reboots, but this is excellent! First, the cast is great. There isn't a main character or a recurring character that doesn't star in their role. Second, the adaptation is great. To take the novel and make it something relatively refreshing, kudos to the writers and directors. Last, I can appreciate the diversity. It's not often shows have more than one character of certain demographics, but this one does and I applaud them for that; I was hooked after the first episode and ended up binge watching the season in one day. It's that Good! I invite you to follow the journey of an excellent equestrian and you too will be just as giddy as I.
Love everything about this series. It's fresh, fast paced, storyline doesn't drag on and on. The urban aspect of teaching about the diversity in the equestrian/cowboy culture is refreshing and produced in a very authentic way. We need more shows like this. Our young adults need to see more series which show the complications of life, how to overcome challenges and thrive as a family and community! This series did all of this and more. It expands on generational issues, unity amongst cultures, and shows just how beautiful the city of Baltimore is. The rich history of Baltimore and its urban ranching is put on full display and I LOVED every moment of it.

I am officially obsessed with this new series. The storyline is enthralling and entertaining. In the first episode of the series, we get a taste of two worlds in multiple ways - Europe vs USA's Baltimore equestrian life. We get to see the ranch life that many people are not aware of in their own backyard. Urban issues and cowboy life. Bullying and high school violence. Family issues and bonding and persevering together through adversity. Accepting what you cannot change and adjusting the best you can when the circumstances are not your fault. There is so much heart in the story, the acting, the set. I love it!
