After years of friendship that goes way beyond the two A-listers making it big in Hollywood, actors Bradley Cooper and Will Arnett are coming on to develop the film ‘Is This Thing On?’. Both will star in the film with Cooper also directing it. Arnett penned the script with Mark Chappell. The film is still in early development, and while Arnett turned in a draft before the WGA strike commenced, Cooper likely will take a crack at script with Arnett and Chappell and won’t be able to till after strike ends, reports Deadline.

Cooper also is producing through his Lea Pictures banner, along with Arnett and Kris Thykier. John Bishop will serve as executive producer. Plot details are being kept under wraps.

The joint venture will focus on the financing, development, and production of film and scripted TV projects in the 10M and under range.

“Knives Out 2” isn’t the only murder mystery hitting theaters later this year, as Searchlight Pictures has released the first trailer for “See How They Run” that finds Oscar winner Sam Rockwell and Oscar nominee Saoirse Ronan investigating a suspicious murder in 1950s London.

Written by Mark Chappell (“Flaked”) and directed by Tom George (“This Country”), “See How Thy Run” takes place in the West End where plans for a movie version of a smash-hit play come to an abrupt halt after the film’s Hollywood director (played by Adrien Brody) is murdered.

A weary inspector (Rockwell) and an eager rookie constable (Ronan) take on the case, and quickly find themselves thrown into a puzzling whodunit within the glamorously sordid theater underground.

Exclusive: Heather Graham is joining Aaron Eckhart and Katheryn Winnick in the April Mullen-directed conspiracy thriller, Wander.

Written by Tim Doiron, Wander follows Arthur Bretnik (Eckhart), a mentally unstable private investigator, who, after being hired to probe a suspicious death in the town of Wander, becomes convinced the case is linked to the same ‘conspiracy cover up’ that caused the death of his daughter. Graham is set to play Shelley Luscomb, an attorney and close friend of Arthur. Shelley has known Arthur long before his world unraveled and acts a voice of reason in his life.

Graham’s film credits include Boogie Nights, Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me and others. Her TV credits include Get Shorty, Law & Order: True Crime, Angie Tribeca and Flaked. MGM Television has hired three executives in its unscripted unit. Justin Dudek has joined as Svp Physical Production; Zena Van Ackeren as VP Talent & Casting, Unscripted Television Development; and Kitty Gambel as VP Unscripted Television Development.

Season 2 of Snatch will premiere in 2018, according to our sister site Deadline. The show, which stars Harry Potter alum Rupert Grint, follows young hustlers who are thrown into the dangerous world of organized crime when they find a truck of stolen gold bullion.

“Flaked,” created by Will Arnett and Mark Chappell and developed by Mitch Hurwitz, stars Arnett as Chip, a recovering alcoholic living by the beach in Los Angeles, juggling a complicated personal life with the lies he’s told to stay afloat.

Nicholas Hoult is getting pretty good at playing War Boys, though in Netflix’s war drama “Sand Castle,” there’s more introspection and less flame-throwing guitars than anything we saw in “Mad Max: Fury Road.”

Set in Iraq in 2003, the film follows a group of American soldiers during the early days of the second Gulf War. They are sent to the outskirts of Baqubah to repair a water pumping station that was damaged by U.S. bombs. The soldiers soon learn that winning the hearts and mind of the angry and resentful locals is a task fraught with danger.

Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner Kirstie Alley has been cast in a series regular role in the upcoming second season of Scream Queens, the comedy-horror series from award-winning executive producers Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Ian Brennan.

Despite its paltry reviews and failure to register with mainstream audiences, Flaked is getting another season on Netflix, the streaming service confirmed on social media.

Posting on Flaked‘s official Facebook page, Netflix wrote, “We’re headed back to Venice for #Flaked Season 2. Can we stay in your guest house?” A return date for the second season was listed simply as 2017.

The series, set in the insular California city of Venice, follows Chip (Arnett) as he struggles with the deterioration of his image and sobriety even while falling for the beautiful London (Ruth Kearney) despite the rift this creates between him and his best friend, Dennis (David Sullivan).
