Storyline
Did you know
- TriviaWoodhouse's grave stone shows he has earned at least four military honours during his service in the British Armed Forces. These include the Distinguished Service Order (duo), the Distinguished Service Cross (dsc), the Military Cross, and the Victoria Cross, the last of which is the highest award possible in the British honours system. He also has a Knighthood, being a Knight Grand Cross of the Order of the Bath.
- GoofsWhen Mother is reading Archer's World War II service record aloud, she says, "Distinguished Service Cross with "V" Device." The Distinguished Service Cross is only awarded for valor, which means it is never awarded with a "V" device, since the "V" is only added to awards that may be awarded either for valor or meritorious service. In the Army, the only awards eligible for a "V" device are: the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Bronze Star Medal, the Air Medal, and the Army Commendation Medal.
- Quotes
Cyril Figgis: Oh, hey, Archer. Come to think of it, where were you last night?
Sterling Archer: Ask your wife.
Pam Poovey: Aww, you know his wife left him... for you, Archer. You screwed her tits off at the precinct cookout. So then she thought the two of you would get married and live happily ever after, but then, you were like whaaaat?
[Archer looking dumbfounded]
Pam Poovey: Exactly, that face right there.
Sterling Archer: I...
[turns and walks away]
Sterling Archer: ... Oh.
Cyril Figgis: How did that help?
Pam Poovey: Mmmm... humanizes you?

I use to think "Archer is great because of setting and characters." As in, if you took the crew out of its exciting spy environment, it just wouldn't work as well. I was proved wrong with Vice, I was proved wrong with Private I, I am proved wrong here. The men and women who work on this show, are in love with their work. They challenge themselves, and break out new, creative scenarios at every turn.
This season is going to be Archer's 8th glorious, fantastic and hilarious season. No show has held quality for this long. Specifically speaking- no sitcom.
In love with it, I am totally on board, I can't wait for next week, I hate myself every time I doubt the crew behind this show.
