The next actor to take on the iconic role of James Bond in Bond 26 is still unknown after the ending of No Time To Die. However, many possible actors could take on the role, with Aaron Taylor-Johnson being one of the favorites to portray 007 despite Henry Cavills unofficial James Bond trilogy movie. There are also many possibilities for who could play the villain, but now that a new James Bond era is coming, a woman is just as suitable as 007's new antagonist.
In a recent interview with Happy Sad Confused, podcast Lady Bird star Saoirse Ronan revealed that she could not see herself in a Marvel Studios movie but Ronan would prefer to be cast in a James Bond movie as a villain. As 007 fans await updates on James Bonds casting, Ronan could conceivably be cast as a prominent female villain. Ronans wishes are too good to be ignored,...

“Monster” Season 3 has added Laurie Metcalf, Tom Hollander, and Olivia Williams to its cast, Variety has learned exclusively.
The trio join previously announced cast member Charlie Hunnam, who will star as Ed Gein in the next season of the Netflix anthology series. According to sources, Metcalf will play Gein’s mother, Augusta, while Hollander will play Alfred Hitchcock and Williams will play Alma Reville, Hitchcock’s wife.
Given that Gein served as one of the inspirations for Norman Bates and Hitchcock’s film “Psycho,” it would appear Season 3 of the hit Netflix anthology will delve into how Gein’s crimes influenced the film and the novel upon which the film was based.
Gein became infamous in the 1950s when authorities discovered that he not only had killed multiple people, but had dug up graves from a cemetery near his home and fashioned all manner of household items and clothing from human remains.

2021's "Black Widow" was always a puzzling movie for me. You're finally giving the one woman on The Avengers her own movie after you kill her off in "Avengers: Endgame"? Hence it is a prequel, one that takes place within the third act of "Captain America: Civil War." Then there's the film's story being built around the vague allusions to Widow's history in "The Avengers" from "Dreykov's daughter" to a past mission in Budapest. Once more, wiki-brained nerds proved they can't tell when a line is there to suggest a character has an offscreen history, not set up a spin-off.
But having seen "Black Widow," I understand why it got pushed to Phase 4. The movie is more than anything a torch passing from one Widow to the next: Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson) to her little sister, Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh). Pugh has since shown up as Yelena in the...

Saoirse Ronan's career is going pretty spectacularly well — but she still can't quite get over the fact that she lost out on the role of Luna Lovegood in the "Harry Potter" movies.
During a recent interview with Jimmy Kimmel to promote her upcoming film "The Outrun" — which marks the Oscar-nominee's first credit as a producer alongside her husband, actor Jack Lowdon — Ronan revealed that she auditioned for the "Harry Potter" character who makes her debut in the fifth book and film, "Order of the Phoenix." (The role ultimately went to then unknown actor Evanna Lynch.)
"There's things that you'll pass on and then they come out, and you think, 'Oh God, that was a misstep on my part,'" Ronan told Kimmel. "But I think the one that stayed with me over the years — I didn't say no to it, I just didn't get the part.

Four-time Oscar nominee Saoirse Ronan is pretty sure she’ll be in Greta Gerwig’s Netflix reimagining of The Chronicles of Narnia — sort of, kind of, maybe.
During a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Outrun star discussed everything from her latest indie project, now out in theaters, to her losing streak at the Academy Awards — and even revealed that she once auditioned for the beloved role of Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter franchise.
When asked by the host if there was any truth to the rumors that she’d be appearing in the upcoming Narnia films, she replied: “I mean, there isn’t, like, no truth to it. She hasn’t asked me yet. She’s writing it.”
She continued, joking, “But we have the kind of relationship where I just sort of go to her and I say, ‘So I’ll be in this, just so you know.

Every movie alcoholic lets you ride shotgun with them to their rock bottom, and the low point that Saoirse Ronan’s character — her name is Rona — hits headfirst in The Outrun is a high-impact one. When we first meet her, she’s being thrown out of a pub in London, having stayed long past closing time and even longer past her welcome. She’s coquettishly crawling under tables and on top of the bar, downing whatever half-drunk pints are left from previous patrons. When the bouncer tries to escort her to the door,...

Saoirse Ronan is surely on her way to becoming one of the best performers of the 21st century. With four—yes, count them, four —Oscar nominations under her belt by the age of 30, she’s left even the most seasoned actors turning green with envy. Since her breakthrough role in 2007’s Atonement, she has shown an uncanny ability to slip into characters like a chameleon on a red carpet, working with acclaimed directors like Greta Gerwig, Wes Anderson, and Joe Wright.

Starz just dropped a killer new trailer and key art for its upcoming dark comedy “Sweetpea,” premiering Thursday, October 10 (8pm Et/Pt). The six-part series stars Ella Purnell as Rhiannon Lewis, a quiet wallflower who develops a vengeful and intoxicatingly liberating taste for murder. At its core, the series is about a woman finally finding her voice, told through a uniquely dark and comedic lens.
Here’s the official description from Starz: Rhiannon Lewis doesn’t make much of an impression – people walk past her in the street without a second glance. She’s continually overlooked for a promotion at work, the guy she likes won’t commit, and her dad is really, really sick. Then everything in her life turns upside down. Rhiannon is pushed over the edge and loses control. Suddenly the wallflower is gone, and in its place is a young woman capable of anything… Rhiannon’s...

Described as a “deviously twisted coming-of-rage story,” the six-part Starz series “Sweetpea” is headed our way this October, and the official teaser trailer has arrived this morning.
Ella Purnell stars as Rhiannon, a quiet wallflower who develops a vengeful and intoxicatingly liberating taste for murder.
In the Starz series, “Rhiannon Lewis doesn’t make much of an impression – people walk past her in the street without a second glance. She’s continually overlooked for a promotion at work, the guy she likes won’t commit, and her dad is really, really sick. Then everything in her life turns upside down. Rhiannon is pushed over the edge and loses control. Suddenly the wallflower is gone, and in its place is a young woman capable of anything… Rhiannon’s life transforms as she steps into a new, intoxicating power, but can she keep her killer secret?”

Last month, we got a look at the trailer for the action thriller Duchess, the latest film from director Neil Marshall. Saban Films will be giving Duchess a digital and VOD release on August 9th… and with that date just one week away, a pair of promotional clips have made their way online. They’re called the “Home Invasion” and “Garage Ambush” clips, and you can watch them right here in this article.
In the UK, Duchess will be getting a limited theatrical release on August 9th, and will then be available for digital download on the 12th.
Marshall wrote the Duchess screenplay with Charlotte Kirk, who also stars as the title character, a tough, working-class, petty criminal who morphs into an anti-heroine to be reckoned with in a murky underworld, in the treacherous world of diamond smuggling. Determined to seek retribution she launches into a vicious and violent pursuit for vengeance.

Chicago Fire is bringing a new leader into Firehouse 51.
Dermot Mulroney is joining the long-running NBC series for its upcoming 13th season, which is set to premiere on Sept. 25. He’ll play Chief Dom Pascal in the series.
Other details about the character are being held back for the time being. The show’s fire house is potentially in need of a new chief after Eamonn Walker, who played Chief Wallace Boden for all 12 previous seasons, departed as a series regular at the end of last season. Boden was promoted in the show’s storyline, leaving open the possibility for Walker to return as a guest star.
On his way out, Boden told David Eigenberg‘s Christopher Herrmann that he was Boden’s choice to be the new chief, potentially setting up some conflict as the new season begins. Along with Eigenberg, returning castmembers include Taylor Kinney, Miranda Rae Mayo,...

For All Mankind season 5 reunites Joel Kinnaman and Mireille Enos, promising an exciting dynamic shift in the series. Mireille Enos's addition as Celia Boyd opens up new possibilities for the show's future in space exploration. With Ed Baldwin's character aging, the focus shifts to a new generation, setting the stage for fresh storylines.
For All Mankind season 5's latest casting announcement is giving me a Joel Kinnaman reunion I've been waiting a decade for. After an incredible fourth season, I was thrilled to learn that AppleTV+ hadn't just commissioned For All Mankind season 5, but a spinoff series that tells the story from a Soviet perspective. While the specifics of the Star City spinoff are still vague, For All Mankind's recent casting announcement heavily implies that it's full steam ahead for season 5, potentially aiming for a 2025 release date.

The Apple TV+ show “For All Mankind” is adding another famous actress for its upcoming fifth season. Mireille Enos, known for “The Killing” and other shows, is joining the cast. This casting news has fans excited to see where the story goes next.
Enos will play Celia Boyd, described as working with the Mars Security Force. This hints that the season will continue exploring what it’s like for people to live on Mars long-term. Past seasons have focused a lot on the challenges of building a community so far from Earth.
Best of all, Enos’ new role reunites her with Joel Kinnaman, her co-star from “The Killing.” They had great on-screen chemistry in that crime drama, which aired from 2011 to 2014. Both actors earned praise and award nominations for their roles. It will be cool to see them work together again after so many years.

Bourne's world blends implausible action with realism, sharp cynicism, and a focus on modern spy tech. Intelligent scripts and well-developed characters are essential for movies like Jason Bourne. The best movies like Jason Bourne blend intriguing characters with intense, gritty fight scenes.
While Matt Damon's action hero was able to establish himself as a unique protagonist in the spy genre, there are other movies like Jason Bourne movies that capture the same thrilling and intelligent feel. Both services offer other Weigel-owned digital networks as part of their programming packages, including the flagship MeTV channel, Heroes & Icons, Story Television and Dabl. Frndly TV starts at $8 per month and includes around 40 live channels, while Philo offers over 140 cable networks and free,...
