Bubble gum. South Africa is in a very complex situation. Lots of people lots of nationalities mixing about and trying to make things work. The other reviews here are acurate. He didn't ask the people in the squatter camps what they thought about white people. He didn't walk around at night. He didn't show what anywhere looks like. He focused on what he wanted to portray. Not investigate what is really the.. and to do that sincerely would probably be an entire series in itself. That's why this is bubble gum.. useless artificial flavor that leaves nothing of value. Having spent 17+ years in south Africa, Johannesburg mostly , I found this episode frustrating. Not bringing something of value to the difficult situation that is going on there, or even giving a fair representation. When i moved there from the states i experience a culture shock. What it's like there is not imaginable from the western mindset. And I've noticed people from the west be quick to judge. I was hoping this could have brought light to that. That there's a complexity that's beyond racism. It's not that simple. Anyway. That's my 2 cents.
