He was dating Priscilla (at least I think that's her, someone get that plastic surgeon away from her) when she was far too young, and listening far too intently to Parker (who only saw dollar signs and never gave much care about Elvis' wellbeing) and when his mother passed, it all but broke him.
Far too many people who didn't know him talking about Elvis who had no personal connection to the man, like Conan? Billy Corgan? Even old man Springsteen, and the people who actually knew him, were around him were barely contributing to this nonsense. Robbie Robertson was listed as a 'contributor'? Seriously? Someone please tell the kids about The Band.
There's far better documentary films floating about that give a far better glimpse into the history of Elvis, and I suppose because the former Mrs Elvis Presley is involved, it lends some sort of credibility in the eyes of those who don't know better.
Typical Netflix garbage that shows nothing new, and please, someone remind old man Springsteen to listen to himself once in a while; talking about being inspired to rebel against the narrative while seriously lecturing people to knuckle under and follow the government is laughable.

That could have been told in one, 2-hour doc, but instead we're subjected to these incredibly awkward, sincerely troubling parasocial fans that seem very confused as to their 'relationship' with content creators. I'm incredibly troubled by the sheer volume of people who seem to be at least somewhat intelligent, but willfully seem to toss that out the window in order to form false relationships with people who don't exist.
Along with 'content creators' who are so wrapped up in the creation of content and the time it takes to create this unattainable feeling of relatability to portray themselves as something not even remotely resembling real life, that they're all but ignoring that of the very real, very dependent children who are only used as props to convey this ridiculous portrayal to an easily duped public. That our aged Congress is so severely lacking when it comes to social media and that of creation of content that they've allowed this nonsense to fester like an open wound, it's no wonder that there seems to be a new horrifying train wreck surfacing weekly, with children being completely exploited. We have what's referred to as 'Jackie Coogan' laws, but for some reason doesn't apply to any of this, and these creators see no problems with exploitation in the most disturbing and disgusting ways.
The first episode was incredibly disturbing and difficult to consume- there's so many times we felt a need to turn away, yet continues to watch in hopes of a point being made. It's no exaggeration to say that the subjects of this were barely mentioned- and it was more so in passing and in some rather bizarre ways that really shone a light more on those who consume this garbage than that of the creators, themselves. There were some interesting moments but not a single thing pertaining to WHY the filmmakers are there, just weird teases that in supposing are meant to being the viewers back, but plays more like daytime soap operas.
I found a rather comprehensive and interesting article that laid bare the behavior behind this nonsense, and completely finished consuming it within 20 minutes. Skip this and do your own research.

Never heard of this person in my life, but I love solid standup, so decided to give her a try.
Dear sweet Jesus- I couldn't make it past the 10 minute mark, and even that was a struggle. Netflix has been all too happy to jack up rates, produce/purchase quality content, and has sunken to depths one couldn't imagine previously.
The streaming services need to reevaluate their business practices, and perhaps firing all executives would be a grand place to start, because I and many like me have finally been pushed to our limits. Money is tight, and when 'cutting the cord' first joined the lexicon, it was due to cable conglomerates becoming ridiculously greedy, and far too big for their britches. Going to streaming was a much more affordable and higher quality option- until every single network decided to join in. But instead of competition bringing pricing down, they've decided to go all-in with pricing structures and abysmal content offerings, thinking they've got us.
Newsflash- many of us will pay a dollar more here and there to keep average services, but with SOOO many options now available, we certainly aren't sticking around.
Let me know when the mass exodus of executives finally happens and pricing gets reasonable. For now, this giant camel was what broke my back.
