Flight Risk delivers solid performances from its lead cast, including Mark Wahlberg, Topher Grace, and Michelle Dockery, but it ultimately falls short of its full potential. Wahlberg shines as a menacing psychopath, while Grace convincingly portrays a timid man overwhelmed by fear, and Dockery takes on the role of a determined U. S. Marshal. The dynamic between these characters is compelling, especially during the high-stakes moments 3,000 feet in the air, where Wahlberg's sabotage throws Dockery's mission into chaos with Grace as an unwilling witness.
While the film offers moments of tension and intrigue, it misses opportunities to deepen the story. Showing the side characters on the phone, for instance, could have added layers of mystery and made the reveal of the agency mole more impactful. Additionally, the narrative falters as it leans on the unrealistic twist of a U. S. Marshal attempting to pilot a plane, which strains believability.
Despite these flaws, Flight Risk is a decent thriller with a great premise and standout performances. It just needed a bit more polish to fully capitalize on its potential.

I recently watched Mufasa: The Lion King, and while it had its moments, there were some confusing elements that made the experience feel a bit disjointed. The setting for Mufasa and Scar's origins was far removed from Pride Rock, taking place in snowy mountains and along dangerous rivers, which felt out of place compared to the familiar savanna backdrop. The story's delivery, narrated by Rafiki, was also a bit unconventional and made the narrative feel less immersive.
The film lacked meaningful backstory for Mufasa and Scar's parents, and certain plot points, like the emergence of a new cub, felt rushed with little buildup. The music didn't quite hit the emotional chords expected, and characters like Timon and Pumbaa seemed out of place in the overall story. That said, the exploration of Scar's journey into villainy was well-executed and one of the film's highlights. Overall, it was a decent watch, but it could have been stronger with a more cohesive narrative and deeper character development.

Den of Thieves 2 delivers a slow-burning narrative with a runtime that overstays its welcome at 2 hours and 25 minutes. While there are some lighthearted moments sprinkled throughout, much of the film relies heavily on dialogue, which may not hold the attention of those expecting more action. The pacing feels uneven, particularly as it moves toward the ending, which seems more focused on setting up a sequel than providing a satisfying resolution. Though it has its moments, the film struggles to justify its length and lacks the high-stakes energy that made the first installment more engaging. It was intense in certain scenes but one character motive change my rating since it was a dishonorable act.
