The body of the Multimax socket-outlets and plugs are made of
technopolymers with high resistance to impacts and crushing, ensuring
dimensional stability and resistance to accidental treading.
In addition to their safety of operation and durability, which are much
higher than the minimum limits prescribed by the standards in force,
Multimax plugs are characterized by easy dismantling, wiring and
reassembly. The body containing the insert is fixed to the grip
containing the stepped gland by 1/4 of a turn screw system. The insert
terminals point in one direction to speed up cable tightening.
The cable easily fits into the cord grip and the seal is obtained by
manually tightening the ring nut.
All these operations require less than approx. 20 seconds, which is
about 1/4 of the time needed for connecting ordinary plugs. Safety is
priceless and the time saved in assembly is money saved.

WIRING TIME: 19 SECONDS!!
1 Insert the cable in the grip.
2 Tighten the terminal screws which
are unscrewed in advance and
positioned on the same side.
3 Close the grip until it clicks
(1/4 of a turn).
4 Tighten the cable by turning the ring
nut until it is locked in position.

The multi-lamellar crown in silver coated copper-beryllium alloy
guarantees:
- wider pit-plug surface contact;
- easy removal of the plugs from the sockets;
- perfect cleaning of the plug;

Low voltage plugs & sockets
This range of products are designed for use on systems with operating voltages less than
50V & suitable for either AC or DC supplies (by product selection).
Plugs & connectors are available in either 2 or 3 pole versions.
Products in this range can be distinguished by either a violet or white colour coding,
signifying either 20-25V or 40-50V respectively.
Incorrect mating of plugs & connectors within this range is prevented by two square
mechanical keyways.
A major keyway is located at 6H, & is consistent throughout the product range. An
additional minor keyway is located at varying clock positions in relation to the major keyway.

Multimax high frequency
A plug & socket range available for IP44 installations.
Suited to applications where the supply frequency is notably higher than normal mains
systems, & between the ranges of 100 to 500Hz.
Available in both 16 & 32A ratings for systems with operating voltages >50VAC.
Plugs & trailing lead connectors in this range feature the same significant design
characteristics as those in the Multimax product range.
Products are colour coded green.

High current
Extremely heavy duty die cast metal plugs & connectors with screw ring coupling
Particularly suited to areas such as shipyards, mines, railways, with applications including
high powered cranes & tunnelling machinery
Designed for use at operating voltages up to 3.3kV, & current ratings up to 800A available
Female socket contacts are finger proof to IP2X
Cable termination is made directly to the contact terminals by crimping process. Contacts
are manufactured in two halves to allow ease of crimping & cable installation
Products are offered with optional sizes of crimp terminations allowing the user to match
to the installation conductor size
Spare/replacement crimp terminations are available on request
Products are equipped with 2 late make, early break pilot contacts rated at 10A, which
can be utilised for electrical interlocking circuits
Appliance inlets can be provided with an anti-contamination cap as an optional extra
