Week 1

We had our first seven day stretch of our On-the-Job-Training in LCC Malls Legazpi
last April 29, 2019. The direction begins in the first part of the day at a 6th floor function
room. Sir Alex examined the organization history, strategies, fundamentally the do’s and
don’ts. At that point after our mid-day break, we were supported by our HR organizer to
our separate supervisors in the Facilities Management Department. At that point, we had
a visit in the various offices explicitly in the eighth floor where the distinctive cooling units,
generator sets, transformers and diverse tanks are found. We additionally went to the
Sewage Treatment Plant wherein the wastewater from the Malls are dealt with. There
are three unique categories for the company establishments for example, CTC, LC Main,
and Daraga shopping centers, that every one of the students are relegated. I was doled
out to LC Main with Lou, my classmate, Denmark, an EE student and the three E.E. young
ladies. Sir Arjie is our supervisor and he is the person who encouraged the visit at that
day.

The following day, we had our fundamental upkeep with the Sir Joey, our expert.
We explicitly cleaned the cooling channels from different workplaces and mounted the
circuit breakers on the rooftop. First is we bored an opening to fasten to breakers place,
second is to hang tight for Sir Joey to wrap up. Experts in this shopping center are
exclusively great at their specific type of employment yet in addition truly receptive and
genial to us for they show while clarifying the different elements of the considerable
number of supplies and machines that we experienced during our stay in this
organization. At that point, soon after that we got a notification with respect to a flawed
electrical switch at the food court situated in fourth floor, we arranged the electrical
switch and fixed the consumed power plugs moreover.

The day after we made the most of our Labor Day break, we were joined by
another professional, Kuya Chris and Alex both has some expertise in cooling. To begin
with, we saw how they replace the oil of the water blower utilized in cleaning the channels
of the chillers/air-conditioners. After which we should introduce lights in the bookkeeping
room however lights are not accessible, so we simply introduce the roof light fitters first.
Towards the evening we went again at the Sewage Treatment Plant, we checked the
control board of the office. With the utilization of "ammeter" we can distinguish the line
to line voltage and the supply current of the of the control board. We likewise utilized a
new gadget called "Stage Rotation Indicator" that distinguishes the succession of the
supply in a three stage electric circuits. Up until now, as said by our manager, the board
works ordinarily.

In our fourth day, together with Kuya Chris we setup the sound framework both in
the two-work space for executive gatherings that will be held the following day. Both the
E.E. what's more, M.E. learners were relegated to present their separate extraordinary
undertakings previously or on the most recent day of our stay here. For the E.E.,
thermographic sweep of operational electrical wirings and segments; and for the M.E.,
outline of cooling arrangement of LC Main Building. In this way, we spent our Friday
preparing and investigating data we've accumulated to play out our separate activities.
We approached Sir Ariel for data with respect to on how the refrigeration framework
functions and works. That evening we supplant a broken indoor regulator in the 7th floor
office.

There's a first time in all things and this our first time to submerge and see on how
things functions, explicitly on preventive support work. OJT's are significant for it gives us
a look at the workplace that we will before long be after school. I figure it will be a decent
learning background for me to spend my OJT here.
Week 2

Our week begin off with the week by week upkeep and trial of the distinctive crisis
frameworks at the Rizal Supermarket, only a couple of ventures from the LCC Main
Building. Sir John Ray strolled us through these facilities: Automatic Fire Sprinkler System,
Fire Detection and Alarm System, Substation and Genset Room, we spent the whole
Monday morning finding out about how those crisis and back-up frameworks naturally
and physically works. We dust-off, skirted, and watch the entire 30-minute scene of the
AFSS. The trial runs easily as foreseen. From that point onward, we venture at the top,
where the genset and substation office are set. We check, exchanged on, watched and
tune in to the 3-4-minute no-nonsense sound the genset creates. Things are progressing
pretty well; abnormalities were not the slightest bit to establish excluded for the
substation's wiring poor condition. A tyke's horns must be cut before. A clearly uncover
terrible wiring association must not be dealt with gently, for its capability to be a
significant issue develops each day. Moreover, the trials that we've performed are basic
to guarantee that these frameworks will work promptly at whatever point terrible thing
happens, for example, fire or brownouts.

After our mid-day break, we were then solicited by one from our experts, Sir Alex,
if E.E. OJT's are happy to really apply our insight about Motor Control. I additionally went
with them just to attempt to pursue on what they are doing; however, I can't understand
the images, capacities every last bit of it for the point is out of my field. Inside the Power
House they turn over their Motor Control class as said by Sir Alex. He initially drew the
Start Stop Circuit Diagram at that point mimics it. They're additionally given an
opportunity recreating the given graph and it's a triumph.

On the 6th day of our hands on preparing we began off our morning with cleaning
the cooling units in the SSU workplaces with Sir Chris. The grimy channel and packaging
were cleaned in the 5th floor comfort room. In the wake of cleaning we went onto the
rooftop deck to check the open-air units of different SSU air-conditioning systems. Things
are progressing pretty well; the main issue is some refrigerant pipelines were solidified
and should be checked. After mid-day break, we went to sir GR's home situated at the
fifth floor of LCC HOME GALLERY. We utilized a compressor washer to clean his unit. Back
to the workplace, we began taking a shot at our uncommon task utilizing AutoCAD, we
began off by illustration an explode graph of the chiller. With respect to the E.E. part they
additionally began our warm examining task.

The seventh day of our preparation we went to the Security Office at the ground
floor. There, alongside Sir Chris, we are informed that there is a need to migrate the board
on the grounds because there is a spillage of water from the funneling that streams
straightforwardly to the board. Since it is an operational hour, we are not permitted
cutting the power supply. Thus, we simply first set up the wirings that will be utilized in
migrating the board which will be done around evening time.

On the eighth day of our hands on preparing, we went to the phone terminal
cupboards with Sir Chris and do some fundamental investigating with the wirings inside
the phone terminal cupboards. Different terminals were re-wired. We additionally went
to the elevator machine room adjacent to HRD sixth floor and check how the instrument
of the lift functions. On the evening, we chipped away at our uncommon tasks, we went
to the chillers and check the pipeline fittings and valves. After that we went to the
workplace and continue to make a graph of our uncommon venture. Concerning the EE
part, they additionally direct a motor control class alongside Sir Alex yet this time it isn't
only a Stop Start Circuit Yet Forward Reverse Circuit. When contrasted with the main Start
Stop Circuit it's very troublesome however with the energy of Sir Alex to instruct them,
they can get and reenact the outline effectively.

On the ninth day of our hands-on preparing, despite everything, we proceeded

with our exceptional undertaking, we went to the chillers again to see the accurate
pipeline system and furthermore have somewhat more counsel with Sir Ariel.
Week 3

The beginning of the week, Monday the tenth day of our On-the-Job training
program, we began off our day by surveying the floor plan and choosing to follow the
chilled water pipelines starting from the chillers to the ground floor. We followed the
funneling framework with the assistance of a specialist. Subsequent to following, we went
to the workplace to chip away at our exceptional undertaking. Lou dissected and plotted
the pipeline course in the shopping center's floor plan. However, not all pipelines are
obvious in light of the fact that some dividers caused obstructions and that left us
assuming the most plausible course of these funnels. At that point, we proceeded to set
up the sound framework at function room 101, at that point, we saw that there is a
spillage inside the seepage pipe of the cooling unit, so we, with the expert chose to fix it
utilizing polyethylene tape and a PVC pipe.

Following day, eleventh day, we began off our day by checking each air handling
units in the structure, from the first up to the highest floors of the shopping center. We
saw at AHU 3 that there is a water spillage and we wouldn't fret that since we imagined
that it was ordinary. Yet, following a couple of minutes, while we were at the event center
situated in fourth floor close to the food court, we at that point felt the temperature
rising, not a run of the mill for a shopping center temperature. At that point, we saw our
designers and specialists going in and out the AHU 04, one of the AHU's close to the event
center, they got a report from Sir Ariel, from the powerhouse, that there's a leak in that
AHU. One of its gauges checks broke coming about for the chilled water chilled by the
chillers to flood the AHU. The channels came up short on water and should be renewed.
The shopping center is currently a horrendous experience, it is totally hot. Along these
lines, our supervisor started to renew the arrival channels with water from the profound
well water tanks. In the first place, we fill it utilizing one bucket at any given moment,
hard and wasteful yet time is running and a ton of despondent individuals are annoying
us asking when will it be fixed. At that point they entrusted us to purchase an nipple pipe
fitting with a 1.5 in. diameter, in the closest equipment outside the shopping center. After
that they at long last associated a hose to interface. Minutes after the fact, water was
appropriated by means of hose and was effectively renewed. The rest is dependent upon
the chillers to do what they should do.
We spent entire the twelfth day morning, working our unique task, we completed
our first unfinished version of our riser, chiller and AHU charts. While chipping away at it,
Sir John Ray requested that we check fire extinguishers that are needing refill from each
fire exits. I, Lou and Denmark set out to approach each drained fire extinguishers and we
accumulate 6-7 of them.

On our thirteenth day of our On-the-Job Training program, we presently set to

make a PC portrayal of the venture utilizing the AutoCAD programming. Devoured the
whole day doing the task.

We had been engaged in the extraordinary undertaking this week on the grounds.
At whatever point we have extra time in the workplace, we all simply exercise in futility,
visiting, sitting tight for six o'clock to arrive. Bantering with new companions are a fun
method to end every day.
Week 4

There's no work completed on the first and second day of the week. With that we
gave time to resume our allocated mechanical and electrical project.
We start the third day of the week by doing our assigned project again. After that
we are asked to help Sir Chris in adjusting the table and relocating the outlets in the
Leasing Department. We also accompanied Sir Chris in checking the terminals of the
breakers and belt spraying at rooftop of 5th floor. In the afternoon we continue doing our
CAD and Thermal Scanning. Lastly an hour before our day ends, we visit a site near the
STP where an MRF will be put up. We are asked to create a lighting layout and an
estimation of electrical materials to be used in constructing the Material Recovery Facility.
By doing our allocated project again, we begin the third day of the week. We are
then asked to assist Sir Chris to adjust the table and relocate the outlets in leasing
department. We also followed Sir Chris to check the breaker terminals and spray belt on
the 5th floor rooftop. We proceed to our CAD and thermal scanning after that. Around
that afternoon the E.E OJT’s were instructed to design the lighting layout with cost and
material estimation for the proposed Material Recovery Facility (MRF) near the STP. I
went with them to survey the site, using the printed plans and a meter, we arrived to have
a much more detail of the site’s dimensions.
The next day, a sale representative from a company called Chem-Trust went to our
department to sell their products. To ensure their product’s validity and effectiveness,
these guys prepared a demonstration held at the Powerhouse. By the way their company
focuses on Preventive Maintenance. One of those guys, a chemical engineer (he said that
he is), demonstrates and explains different products that they brought. The other one
could clean rusty bolts etc. Grease and rust removers, odor neutralizes good for the STP’s
and bowls, etc. One product stands out among the rests, that could be sprayed on a live
clean bus bar even it is powered up to 29000 volts. After that we join Sir Chris in inspecting
the installation of air-condition unit at 6th floor. We are also given a chance to see the
pipes that we need in doing our auto Cad.
We're thrilled to witness a malfunction in the escalator on the fifth day, the
downward elevator from the ground to the second floor. Lou attempted to remove the
bolts that locks the motor engine in its place. So, after the motor was removed, we then
proceed to transport the thing into a machine shop for repair. We also realized the
engine's bearing has an issue.
Week 5

Our week began by cleaning up FMD's stockroom. To maximize the room for the
freshly obtained products, we arranged the materials according to its feature. After that
we were instructed by Sir John Ray to fulfill the task of filling up of the mechanical and
electrical equipment inventory. It would require us to locate the equipments that are
present throughout the malls. On the mechanical hand, we verified the serial number and
the AHU’s motor, engine product name, pump, motorized roll-up and the air curtains at
the entrance and exits of the mall. We tallied the information in the list and encode them
to be submitted on Friday that week. On the other hand, "the electrical" is quite
challenging because there are at least a 100 of KWHM, there are meters everywhere with
different brands around the mall from the first to the top floor. Luckily for them, we have
all the time in world in our hand. So, we willingly accept the task and off we go. In every
tenant’s stalls and shops, the exits and entrance, electrical rooms, engine rooms, AHU
rooms, the roof, so on and so forth. But as I said earlier, we didn't actually get the all
information, specifically for some meters at SMR due to our lack of familiarity of its
placements.
That week’s Tuesday, we receive a report from the department store regarding a
leak coming from the third-floor celling drain pipe connected to the food court,
specifically to the Sonyda (a tenant store). At the first sight (and smell) the situation was
bothersome to some degree, but Sir John Ray and Sir Rey were their present to inform us
that the leakage is only cause by the clogging of pipeline due to excessive oil used by the
tenants in the food court. There was not a reason for an alarm. A guy was sent to
troubleshoot the pipe leak inside the ceiling. We also helped but fetching hot water then
pouring it in the Sonyda’s kitchen sink. It's been fixed in no time.
Afternoon that day, the three of us, I, Lou and Kuya Chris were asked to fix to pipe
and clean ACUs. Four Air-con units in RMT and one from CCTV room, then we rode the
L3 at LCC Ayala and to pay the Devil’s due. While Kuya Chris bombards the aircon, we then
fetch water to refills and clean the filters and frames of the aircon in the CTC’s AHU 06.
We performed that afternoon the role of both Technical and Janitorial Services because
STC is a no-show. We ended spending also three hours because of that.
Then after that we used up the following closing weekdays in the office. Since our
240 hours is approaching to completion, we then focused on finishing our allocated
projects to pass it on on-time.
Week 6

The twenty-fourth day of our OJT: early that Tuesday morning at around 9:20,
we’ve received a call from the employee’s entrance concerning a sparking wire. So, I went
down to check on that wire if it is still on the vicinity of the mall or not. Upon my
investigation, I learned that the faulty sparking wire is from a nonfunctional pole-less light
pole. I took a picture of it and went back up the FMD office to report to Sir John Ray. And
that’s it.
We fruitfully completed the special project ahead of time. But Lou intend not to
pass the project now for it is still not yet wholly checked, every relevant detail must be
inspected thoroughly – all piping connection, its placement, and most especially the
“chilled water supply and return riser diagram” which comprises the entire existing
operational refrigeration system and pipeline network in the mall. As far as I can tell,
we’re about 80% on accuracy (which is not bad) due to the mysterious connections that
we haven’t get a chance to discover. Additionally, all the scale of the piping, AHU etc. are
estimated therefore, lessening the project’s overall precision – relative to the building
layout’s dimension. Nonetheless what’s relevant is the correct representation applied to
display the refrigeration system– so no damage done. Accordingly, what we did was to
make the most reasonable educated guesses or assumptions based on the information at
hand – both receive and collected. The specifications of every AHUs, chillers and pumps
were handed over to us by Sir John Ray, which consequently benefits the project.
The twenty-fifth day: We accompanied Kuya Alex to install a hand dryer machine
in the 4th floor comfort room near the Technoloop. That afternoon – maybe around three
o’clock, Ma’am Inah asked us to deliver documents to the CTC’s PM office.
We didn’t do much this week compare to the past weeks of our OJT – and I think
it will continue to be. Nevertheless, that free time were utilized on AutoCAD.
Week 7

The seventh week is the last week of my OJT in LCC. Early that week’s Monday we
were send off to deliver a package (three boxes of equipment) to CTC PM office.
After we thoroughly checked the project for mistakes, we then passed it to for
approval. Our special project was approved by Sir Arjie. It is then printed in an A3 paper
to be further submitted to the City Engineer’s Office as stated by Sir Arjie.
