To whom it may concern:

It is my pleasure to write this recommendation for Bodhi Fox who was my student in
English 38 and Creative Writing at Gonzalo Garza Independence High School. A dedicated
student with a stellar track record Ibr academic excellence, Bodhi was a student most teachers
only dream of teaching.

An ardent reader and a prolific writer, Bodhi was an excellent communicator with an
impeccable command of the English language. Because Bodhi reads and writes constantly, he
made writing seem natural and effortless. I found it amazing that he was able to write about any
topic intelligently and at the spur of the moment produce quality compositions that hardly
needed any revising. Adept in literary analysis and creative writing. Bodhi has written many of
the most effective and powerful compositions I have read from a student.

His love for English was evident in my class whenever he would seize every
opportunity to interact with language. Articulate in discussing contemporary issues, Bodhi was
excellent at explaining his position on relevant topics and arguing his points persuasively. He
has demonstrated this when he led and participated in Socratic seminars on a variety of
socio-political issues such as gun control, death penalty. and gender norms/equality. No matter
how challenging or daunting the task, Bodhi was unfazed because he worked with a sense of
purpose. After high school, he plans to attend Austin Community College to major in welding
and one day to practice and make a difference in this field.

Diligent as well as talented, Bodhi’s outstanding character and steadfast determination


has allowed him to succeed in his academic work. He also has the intellectual grit and maturity
necessary for the rigorous demands of any field of work or study that he decides to pursue after
high school. I am certain that Bodhi will continue his triumphs as he forges ahead on the path of
his calling. It is for these reasons that I give Bodhi Fox my absolute highest recommendation.
