PUBLIC NOTICE

Subject: Conduct of Joint CSIR-UGC NET December 2019
The National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting the Joint CSIR-UGC NET Examination on 15th
December, 2019 for 2,74,345 candidates, covering 05 subjects in two shifts. The exam would be
conducted in 605 centres in 214 cities. The exam will be a Computer Based Test (CBT) mode for
the first time.

The examination for 7,772 candidates scheduled to appear on 15th December, 2019 from 24 Centres
located in the States of “Assam” and “Meghalaya” has been postponed. The revised date of
examination for the States of Assam and Meghalaya will be announced soon.
All the preparations for the exam have been completed.
A Control Room has been opened and 19 Regional Coordinators, 200 City Coordinators and
600 Observers have been positioned.
Live CCTV Surveillance will be started in 605 examination centres to curb malpractices in the
examinations. The NTA has made arrangements for live viewing at remote locations and
recording of CCTVs Systems of all examination centres at control room situated in the NTA. A
total of more than 5000 CCTV Cameras in each shift have been installed.
NTA runs Mock Test through a network of more than 4800 Test Practice Centres (TPCs),
especially for student of rural areas and more than 1,30,000 students have so far benefitted at
TPCs. Further the Mock Test is also available online and as on date, more than 2.78 Crore
page views has taken place.
Jammers- In order to stop cheating using mobile networks, Jammers have been installed in all
the Centres. A total of more than 5000 jammers in each shift have been installed.
While assuring the candidates of the highest professional conduct of the exam, NTA requests
cooperation of all the candidates for an orderly conduct of the exam.
